Due to the weight involved I felt that this product was the best for additional support. I was very pleased with the product and with the ease of installation. However, since this is the first time that I have installed a piano hinge I had to do some modifications to the box to ensure the lid would close down flat and would have liked to see some installation instructions. I would use in the future.

I built them 10 years ago and the original screws loosened where secured into "end grain". (I used MDF for the box.) The wrap around hinge seems to have solved that. Two small glitches - although wrapped to a 1x for shipping, one of the three I purchased had a slight twist to it, and the screws do not set flush. I worked around it and everything came out fine.

They are easy to install as they have many holes to lign up and adjust before you put all 20 some screws in 1 edge. They worked great on my daughters heavy duty hope chest.
