Works great. I used it with a laminate trimming bit to cut hardboard and it captured all visible dust.

This thing does everything they say it does. It does an excellent job keeping the chips and dust from getting all over the place. The only thing is you do have to do some sanding to get it to fit on my dust hose. It took about 2 minutes to get it to fit.

Fits good. Fast to hook up, pick up the sawdust.

Great product! Eliminates essentially 100% of dust/chips created during edge routing operations. My only gripe is that the dust port doesn't mate up to any of my vacuum hoses - should be easy to fix with some sanding, but wish it would have been "right" from the factory.

I edge joint melamine panels with the router to get a chip free edge on both sides. The down side is the mess created. All I can say about the Dust Port is WOW!, this thing eliminates almost all the debris! One of my best investments!

Great! I use this product to edge my lumber before planing the edge with the help of a straight ega. My shop is crouded and hasn't any room left for a jointer. It is faster than using the table saw and more accurate.

I really like this product. I've been using it quite a bit lately; as I don't have a long bed jointer, I typically straighten the edges of boards by laying a straight board (like a piece of plywood) on top of the board I want to joint. Then, I run a top bearing router bit in my router to straighten the rough cut board. This attachment has made that job significantly easier - I no longer am standing in a pile of sawdust and I have much better visibility into what's going on at the bit. I also really like the fact that I'm not breathing in the wood dust like I used to be. All in all, a very impressive and functional attachment.

FIVE STARS!
As I've gotten older, I've started putting more emphasis on protecting my health in the woodshop, and managing airborne dust dust is something I pay attention to now. It's worth the extra couple of minutes to set up a collector hose or turn on a shop vac to protect my lungs in my small garage workshop that doesn't have the best natural ventilation.
There are several router dust collection accessories on the market to choose from these days. However, my own experience has been that there are none so easy to attach or as efficient at catching dust as this one. It fits all four of my routers (I have two different brands, Elu and Porter Cable, but they all share the Porter Cable style template attachment feature on the base).
No tools are required to install or uninstall, which takes all of about ten seconds. With a decent shop vacuum or dust collector attached, it really does catch the majority of the chips and dust coming off the bit.
The only real limitation is bits must be 1" diameter or smaller, but if I need to rout something with a bit bigger than 1", I'm usually running it across my router table anyway.
Great value, great product. Five stars!

The product is based on a good idea, but the manufacturing process did not support the idea. It is advertised as fitting most shop vac systems. Unfortunately, the one I received was too small to be coupled to any of my couplings by a silly 1/16 of inch in diameter. I have begun sanding the inside to increase the inside diameter so that I can use my standard couplings.

Great idea and works really well for dust collection with one pretty important caveat that can cause serious damage to material or worse. You have to be extremely careful that the router vibration does not loosen the nut -- mine seems to continually loosen -- or all hell breaks loose. If you want to use this device, I would recommend continually checking to see whether it's coming loose. A little reengineering could make it safer and easier to use.

Great concept, works great. The problem is the product will not hold up to daily use. I've already had to replace one. The product is made completely of plastic, including the threaded connection to the router. Just putting the router down on the work table wrong will snap the connection. The base needs to be made of metal and use plastic for the rest. I would be willing to pay more for this product if I knew it would last.

Works great, just as advertised. Limited, yes, but after the contraptions I've set-up trying to do, what this does (and look professional)and for [price]! well....it's great!

Good Idea, poor execution. The 2 1/4 hole is an oval, 2 3/16 the other way. When you connect to the vac hose, the part splits up the seam. Time for duct tape and a hose clamp. Clumsy, but it works.

The design idea is good but manufacturing quality control is not. The problem I have is the 2 1/4" ID is not round. This makes it very difficult to connect to 2 1/4' dust collector hose fittings. I carefully measured the "2 1/4" ID and found it varies from 2.23 to 2.26".

The idea is great however, I could not hook up either of my shop vac hoses to it without duct tape. It was also hard to keep tight as it would loosen then spin. If you don't pay close attention when it spins, it will keep the bearing from being tight against the edge and not give a good clean cut. When it worked, it did a good job of collecting the dust and chips.

This product really works. Connected to a 1HP dust extractor I had extremely little dust escaping when removing significant material with my router.
My only problem is that after a few uses, the nut that holds the dust port to the router snapped rendering it useless unless I can get my hands on a replacement. I think it should be manufactured from brass to avoid it happening in the future.

The first time I used it the seams split on one side and I have put super glue in the seam and have not used it since. It may by alright now. I will find out when I try to use it on my next project.

I was very excited to receive Edge Routing Dust Port. However, when I inserted my vacuum hose into the port the it begtan to split because it is about 1/16" too small. After taping it up I used with a 1/2" trim bit on a panel I was making. It worked great on 3 sides where there was less than 1/4" of material to remove, but the fourth side had a 1" overhang and the Dust Port prevented the Router from trimming that edge.
