I ordered one 2x6x6 figured maple turning block and made a bowl. Everybody was so impressed with it that I ordered 3 more blocks.

I ordered two of the 2x6x6 bowl blanks, and now I wish I'd ordered more. The wood is nicely figured and iridescent, it's already dried, and it turns beautifully.

Great price for a nice looking piece of wood. I'd purchased several of these from a "bricks and mortar" Rockler store when on vacation and was very impressed. I recently purchased some more online and am impressed that the quality is every bit as good! It's nice that these are properly dried blanks, rather than covered in wax, and that they've already been cut round for turning.

I bought as many of the blanks as I could, and would buy more of the large ones if they weren't sold out. They are dry, beautifully figured, and when finished have an almost holographic pattern that is typical of a glossy finish on maple. I love working with this wood!!!

The piece that I got was very nicely figured. Turned a square bowl out of it, and it looks very nice. Very easy to turn, and finished very nicely.

The piece of maple I received was not as nice as the the onces pictured on the website and catalog. I was a bit disappointed in the blank I received.
