I bought this instead of building a cross cut sled because I was in a time crunch. I have to say that all of the good reviews were spot on! It comes out of the box mostly assembled and with a little of adjustment you’re ready to go. I used a scrap piece of 14”x14” plywood and did the 5 cut method to dial in the zero degree position, it repeats very well. I’m glad I bought it but I will still build the sled for other uses.

Was a bit skeptical about ordering the sled for my Bosch 4100 portable table saw but I'm glad I did. Works like a charm as long as you purchase the left stock support from Bosch for this saw. Item arrived in perfect condition and could not of been happier. Well worth the money!

Just like most of the products I purchase from Rockler, "Out of the box & into service." Very little setup required except to zero out the miter. Took all of about 1 minute before cutting my first piece. Also bought the "drop-off platform." Definitely a must have. Saves on tearout and kickback. If you don't have this Rockler Crosscut Sled, bite the bullet and buy it. You won't regret it.

I just picked up this item a few weeks ago and have used it extensively. It is a great product, easy to set up and was dead on out of the box. I am using it with a "portable saw" Bosch 4100 and I am very pleased. Debated whether to buy the portable version and am glad I did not. Need to be careful so as not to tilt it when the wood is off the edge of the table. I may try to replace the runner with one that has a fitting for the T groove. Unfortunately my drop off was damaged in shipment. Oh well Rockler will stand behind it and it gives me another excuse to go to the store...as if I need that. Great product Rockler.

I really like this sled. Maybe not as robust as a home made unit, but the flexibility is tremendous. The ability to control the cutting angle within a fraction of a degree is terrific. Got it on sale with the drop off platform, so it was a very good value. Really appreciate being able ot cut a concise angle

Bought the sled and the drop off table just recently. Have been wanting to purchase it for a couple years. Regret not doing it sooner. I recently got an order for a built in entertainment center. My cuts are dead on. The top section is 70 X 60 and is dead square. I have never made cabinets with such accuracy. I have a shop made crosscut sled, but have never been able to get it to make perfect cross cuts. I could not be happier with this product. I am looking forward to using it to make mitres as well.

I wanted to try my hand at learning some simple woodworking as I have never done so before. Ordered this sled and it came exactly as described.I have used it only once so far but think it is exactly what I expected for my use. Good price for the product. Probably would not hold up very well if used by a professional but will work fine for my usage.

The cut off sled is dead on accurate. I use it with the drop off table. I checked it for square right out of the box. A machinist square confirmed the accuracy. I then arbitrarily tried a 30 deg. cut, and measured it for accuracy. I didn't have to make any adjustments. I've used it a number of times since my recent purchase. A great value, especially when purchased as a unit.

The table is great but the flip stop leaves a lot to be desired. I is accurate to the nearest 1/16" and is very difficult to set. When you set the flip stop it moves back and forth.

I purchased the Table Saw Crosscut Sled when it first came out. It is a great improvement over the shop made jig that I had. I am very pleased with it, and I recommend it very highly for a wood shop. I want to add another comment about Rockler products. I receive other wood working magazine's but I always go back to your company for parts and shop items. Your personnel are always friendly and helpful. Thanks

I ordered this sled together with the Crosscut Sled Drop-Off Platform. Having both on the table ensure a 0 tolerance. The table top arrived assembled but a minor adjustment of the track-bar to ensure there is no gap. After that I tested cut the 0 degree, DEAD on with no adjusment. You will be happy you bought this product- Indulge with yourself you won't regret it!

Very nice fence, when properly setup yields safe and accurate cuts, rated down because it has a major shortcoming, it only cuts the right hand miter if the work piece can not be put against the fence up-side-down to cut the left miter. Still quite useful especially for odd angle cuts.

I'm not the easiest guy to please but I have to say I was impressed with this product. The sled is very well designed and equally well made. The main board is 1/2" thick 23-3/4" x 23-3/4" MDF table with melamine coating. This combined with the low friction slippery tape applied to the bottom makes it glide very well.
The miter slide bar has spring-loaded ball bearings that have adjustable tension to eliminate slop in the miter slot. The aluminum fence is nicely sized and measures 3" high x 25" long. The MDF fence face measures 2-7/8" high x 27" long and can be repositioned at any time to suit your needs and can be removed and replaced at will.
The easy-to-read 1/2° graduations and a hair-line indicator and larger scale makes this a breeze to use. The 90° stop is steel and adjustment screw is held in place with LocTite so it won't move once it's adjusted.
Both table boards come a bit wider and allows the user to custom fit this to their particular saw.
The sled drop off platform in made the same way. The miter bar has the same spring-loaded ball bearings but includes an additional feature that locks it in position so it doesn't move.
Conclusion:
As I'm concerned, this is one of the nicest and easiest to use miter gage / sleds on the market and will be in my shop for a good long time. Is it cheap; no, but them again nothing is these days but the quality and forethought make this a real winner.
This miter gage functions the same basic way any miter gage does, it follows the T-slot in the cast iron top. If your saw blade is not parallel with the T-slot then your cuts will be off. I suggest you periodically check this to ensure accurate repeatable cuts. Once this is done then trim the table boards to size and you'll be good to go.

I've had this now for about a year, and waited to provide a review for just that reason. It's good, does what I need it to do, but it's not really worth full price. I got it on sale, and was glad I did. First, the miter bar that says it's adjustable isn't really the best miter bar that it could have. There's still some slop until the last ball bearing engages the track as you're pushing the sled into the cut. Second, zeroing out was really easy-a real bonus. Third, the stop that comes with it is worse than useless. Looks nice, but there's far too much play between the head of the stop and the arm! the hex nut has a "on" or "off" feel to it: either way too loose, or locked down solid (thus making the "flip" part of the stop nonfunctional). The head of the stop, too, has way too much play and I can't get it locked down so there's no play. The drop-off platform is a real bonus, and does what I need it to do, too. Finally, if your miter slots are non-standard, you'll have to trim the table to fit, but check the distance of your miter slots with before you purchase this if your miter slots aren't one of the common sizes. My bottom line: save your money, take a weekend and some patience and and make your own.

The sled itself is awesome. Pretty much right out of the box it cuts dead on 45 and 90 degrees. The only reasons I did not give it a five are as follows;
1. The directions were horrible. I was pretty sure that I needed to trim the sled and the offcut table but at $100 was nervous and looked to the instructions..it was not mentioned. So I sent an email to March Spagnolo (The Wood Whisperer) and he told me to let it rip, or cross cut anyway... (It is because Marc Featured this product on a video about AFWS that I bought the sled and Bench Cookies, so nice job sponsering him Rockler. Keep it up as a result I no longer shop at Woodcraft.)
2. The low fricition tape did not adhere well so I don't use it. No big deal though becuase my TS is always lubricated.

Once it was trimmed to fit my saw the rest of the set up was easy. Used it to cut small profile picture frame material with it working very well. Should be packaged in a more substantial container as appears to be very easily damaged during shipping. The damage mine sustained was trimmed off during the set up.

It works great every time I use it. The angle markings are easy to read and adjust. The blade is against the the table so all you have to do is set the cut mark on the edge and that's where it will be cut.

Had to send it back. I thought that I could make it work in the T-slot on my saw but was unable to get the 'slop' adjusted out. The adjusting screws are opposite of the wide part of the t-slot and would not snug up. I'll just have to make one for the T-slot.

Got it on my doorstep on Friday, just in time for the two base cabinets I am making for the kitchen. Granite is on its way, so I have to get them done.
I put the drop off sled on and ran it thru the blade....zero clearence on the right side.
The left side is about one half inch to the left of the blade. I guess every saw is different. So I don't have zero clearance on the left now, but something tells me I have to move the runners over and then I can push the sled thru the blade and have total zero cl.
I am SO happy with it. I made my own a year ago...it never was that good. But this thing is right on the money. I don't make comments or reviews on websites...this is only the second time I've done it out of thousands of web pages regarding woodworking, and I feel this sled is worth EVERY penny.....by the way, it costs a lot less than other set ups like this one.....money well spent.
Today I used the stop on the miter bar. I was making a face frame for the cabinets. It saved me SO much time....and I need that because I am under the gun to get them done. I will be done tomorrow thanks to my new sled.
We woodworkers are something, aren't we? A little thing like a sled and it makes you HAPPY.
Don't hestate, just buy it!! You will NOT be sorry, I'm not.
And no, I don't work for Rockler......I'm just very happy with this product, period.

I cannot really rate the product other than fit and finish is excellent and it appears to be very solid. What I can tell you is that I received the sled with a broken MDF fence. I wrote a letter on June 6th at 8:40 PM explaining what happened. About 8:45 I got a call from Rockler from a very nice lady about the note I had sent. She was knowledgeable, very nice, and I received the replacement part this afternoon. Nice to have people that know the business, and are as pleasant as this person. Sorry that I did not get her name, but well done Rockler for having this type of quality employee. Thanks and regards, JM

I recieved the Crosscut sled and the drop off table from Rockler and was very impressed with the fit finish and quality of the product. It was easy to setup and use and has provided me with another tool for the shop that I know can't do without. The only negative point I see with it is that it needs a "T" bar at the front end to keep the sled from tilting down when doing wider boards. This can be easily fixed and I will get around to it soon. Very pleased with both the Sled and drop off table and will have many years of use from it.

I chose the Rockler Crosscut Sled over competitor's because I have a SawStop and a metal fence would not work. I am very impressed with the accuracy of the cuts and the 'build' quality of the device. The degree scale is dead on accurate. There is no slop in the miterslot. It without doubt makes cross cutting safer and more accurate than miter gauges. I previously used a Kreg precision miter gauge, which I no longer have any use for. This product gets my highest accolades.

I've only been in woodworking for about 6 months. I tried creating my own sled, but it just wasn't 100% so I decided to purchased this crosscut sled. I own a Ridgid 3660 Table Saw and when I got this sled I thought, at first, I messed up because it hung over the hole where the blade is. I went ahead and put the sled on my table saw and with a 80 tooth blade, turned on the table saw and cut the sled to perfect size. I also purchased the drop off platform and had to do the same. I used them both everyday and has saved me a lot of time and grief trying to make my cuts 100% accurate.

I purchased the Cross Cut sled and took advantage of the Free drop off table and Free shipping right after Christmas. I could not be happier. The sled was dead on out of the box after a quick trim with the table saw. I turn segmented bowls, and this sled cuts dead accurate zero clearence miters every time. My only comment for improvement would be a stop block that works in conjunction with the drop off table.
This may be the best Rockler product I ever purchased.

As some of the other reviews have stated, I had wanted an accurate crosscut sled for some time and preferred to purchase one with the thought it would be more accurate than one I could make. This product meets all of my expectations. I found it easy to set up and use on my Delta Unisaw and am most pleased with its performance. The only possible negative I might have at this point is that the stop for making repetive cuts tends to "creep" when tightened but so far that has not been a problem.

I also purchased the drop-off platform and highly recommend purchasing that when you purchhase the cross cut sled. The two work very well together.

I purchased this item because I have wanted a crosscut sled for some time and had seen several that could be made but you couldn't get the accuracy that can be achieved with this one.I haven't used it very much since I received but I was impressed with the 1/2 degree adjustments that are available to use if necessary. I also like the ease of sliding on my table saw.
I gave a rating on my crosscut sled and after I read some of the others I got the thinking again about mine and I have no complaints what soever. It is a fine piece of equipment, it fits my Grizzly 10" table saw just fine, I had no trouble getting it set up. Just wanted to add to what I said before.

After initial set-up and alignment, I got excellent angle cuts, which is why I bought the sled. For the price I won't complain. If I were to change anything it would be the sled base material. Good product but it arrived with a 1.5" crack on the surface of the melamine. After repairing the crack, the product works well.

When product was received all corners were smashed and split. The unit itself looked as though if not damaged it would do just fine. Rockler was kind enough to provide a 2nd shipment and this also was smashed and split on the corners. Over the years we have spent thousands of dollars worth of products from Rockler. Never have we had a damaged shipment or defective item from the Rockler product line. Special thanks to the staff at Rockler for the no hassle policy. Your a fine group of people.

This was a Christmas gift and a wonderful one. It came with the optional drop-off platform and both were exceptionally easy to set up and a terrific addition to my Ridgid Table Saw. They work great, dead-on accurate, and provide a zero clearance for the blade.
Overall, I'm very pleased with both the sled and the drop-off platform and highly recommend both. A very good deal for the money.

Excellent shop jig. I like the easy sliding motion of the ball bearings on the track guide and friction tape.I find the cross-cut sled to be very accurate. I have purchased many of your products and I am very pleased with all and prices are reasonable as well.

The system works great with my Rigid saw. The calibration was dead-on. Would appreciate a parts list for the sled.

Editor's note. Sled comes preassembled except for self-adhesive low-friction tape and hold down clamp. See instructions linked in left hand side bar of this offer.

I purchased the sled and cut off platform recently. They work great! The increments on the sled are dead on accurate and I cut 45 degree miters for a project and they are perfect. Thanks!

I purchased the sled and drop-off platform. Both are very nice. Even though this sled makes for nice accurate cuts and consistent repetitive cuts, I purchased it more for the safety when working with small pieces of wood. The clamp on the sled is great for that. The only thing I can see that would be a safety improvement is for the slide to include a piece to ride in the wider bottom part of the groove so when it is brought back for a larger piece of wood, it didn't rock off balance. All in all, it is a great product.

The product looks good but I can't use it. Not all saws have the same kind of track set up, this requires a standard miter track but mine has a T Track.

I recently acquired a Jet ProShop saw and needed a sled for cutting panels and also wanted something that provided better support for small stock than the standard Jet miter gauge. The Rockler sled works like charm. Compared to some of the other sleds I looked at it was less expensive, simpler (a good thing in my book), and easier to use thanks to the nice large scale. I also looked at an Incra sled but wound up going with the Rockler because it was simpler and easier to use. The fact that it was also cheaper was just icing on the cake.

Will not work with a Sears Craftsman Professional Jobsite Model 137.218300 Saw. The T-slot is too wide on this machine and is unusable -- I am going back to my home-made sled.

I received my Crosscut sled for Christmas. This was perfect for making accurate 90 degree cuts for larger panels as well as door frame miters. I replaced the original pressboard fence with one 48 inches long that alowed me to cut panels uo to 48 inches. This is well worth the investment.

This is a very great addition for my Ridgid TS3612. It was very easy to set up, thought it was off a little but it was my fence. It was dead on! Had a little shipping damage that ended up getting trimmed off anyway. Rockler insisted on sending a replacement. Can't beat the service and value!!

A little too much money, but I love it. Buy the drop off platform too. Accurate and easy to set up. Just a bit much on price considering you could buy two - 4X8 sheets of MDF for the same price. But I am satisfied.

You can't cut the picture frame moulding shown in the picture on the website with this tool. The end against the blade is fine but try to cut the other end. A moulding such as this can't be turned over to make the other cut. This only works with a moulding which is flat on top and bottom. You need a sled with a fence on both sides of the saw blade to cut both ends of a shaped moulding such as the one shown.

I purchased this sled because I recently bought a new table saw and kept my old saw on which I use with an Incra miter jig. My miter cuts are dead on with Incra. I find this sled to be heavy, awkward and difficult to use with very few directions. The "on the box directions" are particularly annoying as you either have to keep the box forever or forget the directions. I am also not understanding how to make an accurate cut like others who reviewed this sled claim to make. I expect the fence to the protractor scale to be 100% accurate (like Incra) right out of the box and not something that "I have to adjust". Certainly I need to make sure that the jig is parallel to the blade but that should be it. I am disapointed.

Does not work on my Powermatic 64. The spring-wedges in the miter track are too weak and allow quite a bit of side-to-side movement. Worse results than my twenty-year-old stock miter handle that has stripped bolts.

I own an Incra Miter 1000SE but found it unsuitable for supporting steep angle cuts (no effective way to hold stock against miter without slipping). Because of this deficiency in the Incra system I recently bought a Rockler crosscut sled. I have used the Rockler sled several times now and have been pleased with the performance, but I would also recommend 3 improvements. First, I would suggest that the sliding bars that fit into the saw miter slot be replaced with a cam adjustable bar system for smoother sliding and a tighter fit in the miter slot. Second, the adjustable stop needs to be longer. I have found that the stop is too short to work with stock which is 1/4" thick. Third, I would recommend that the angle rate be increased to 65 degrees from the current 50 degrees. This adjustment would better support steep angle cuts and make the tool more useful.

When I recieved this sled it had to be cut down to fit my saw. The instructions on how to to this were printed on the box, however, I would have liked to have one sheet of paper inside of the box with instructions. I had to retrieve the box from the garbage can and then clean it up to use it. Other than this slow start, the sled works very well and the magnified angle gauge makes it very easy to get the right cut, my first test on scrap came out to a perfect half circle. Necessary for segmented bowls, which is why I purchased the sled. Looking forward to many interesting bowls.

I have only use the sled to cut 90 degree cuts so far, but I had 2 problems:
(1) The ball bearings that hold the sled into the miter slot doesn't hold tight enough to keep the sled in the slot when shoved completely forward. The sled can then fall forward off the table. This is a dangerous situation. The slide bar should be designed with wings on the bottom of the bar to prevent the sled from raising up out of the slot. I can't believe no one else has mentioned this problem.
(2) The low-friction tape didn't help much. The sled on my all-steel table still slides harder than it should. I even tried coating the table with baby powder, but that didn't help much either.

Editor's note: The ball bearings in the miter slot are not intended to hold the sled in a table's miter slot. If the sled is tipping forward off the saw then one is attempting to cut a piece larger than the sled is designed for. To determine capacity one can cut with a given saw set the sled in place on the saw to it sets safely without tipping, then measure from the sled's fence to the front of the saw's blade opening. This will be the maximum width that one can cut.

Could have rated this product poor but it did produce square cuts. This product requires some type of extension to be of any use to the weekend novice woodworker. It falls off the table when trying to cut larger boards creating a VERY DANGEROUS situation. The guide does not fit snuggly and allows for some side to side movement. Had I not already zeroed it to fit my table saw, I would have returned it. I really wasted a gift request getting this as a present. Fellow novice woodworkers don't make the same mistake.

Editor's note: One should never attempt to use a crosscut sled to cut pieces wider than would allow for more than half of the sled to be in front of the saw table at the start of the cut.

The cut off sled works very good. The only problem I had was setting up. I have a Grizzly Hybrid Table Saw and the table was too short from the miter slot and the blade to work on the left side of the blade. The only way it would work was to put the table sled on the right side of the blade and it worked fine. I could not use the drop-off table I ordered as well as it would work on the right side of the blade but the cut-off sled was there and the drop-off table was not big enough from the slot to the blade to work on the right side.

While initially cutting segments for segmented vessals the sled worked as planned. However, after repeated cuts the slot for hold-downs fractured from stress from underneath the slot. This occurred after several cuts and clamping down on the hold-downs. The surface fractured and mushroomed, thus leaving an unlevel surface. This renders the sled useless having an uneven surface. The product is only as good as its weakest part, and I evidently found that part. It may be a deficient particular item. In any event, I am very displeased with this.

This really is a good product. Mine arrived pretty much dead on accurate, and it is only a matter of a couple of seconds to make any adjustments. Be sure your tables saw miter track is square to your blade prior to setup and adjustment of the crosscut sled.
My only concern with it is that the "optional" drop-off platform should really not be optional, and should be part of the sled itself. It is a vital safety feature, particularly if your work piece to the right of the blade is of any weight or length. I did fashion a support platform for a cut I made last week, but it was not ideal and I did experience kickback as the piece fell into the blade. Fortunately I was standing well to the left of the blade so I was OK.
Should I have known better? Yes, and many other will I am sure think the same, but this product will appeal to novice and experienced woodworkers alike , so others may also be caught out.
So in my humble opinion, always purchase the drop-off platform and use it every time.
Good product though.

I bought this on sale here a couple of years ago and have used it regularly since then. Accuracy is very good. I managed to drop it and ding the MDF but it still works fine. I did decide to make my own drop off table with a piece of plywood, left over t-track and a couple of magnets to hold it in place. All and all a worthwhile investment.

Just picked up from my local store. Great value with the drop off platform free. Minor adjustments out of the box. Took longer to fine tune my square then it did to tune the jig. Both products were packaged well with no damage. Only concern is there is a little side to side movement in the jig on my Jet tablesaw. I have the slides adjusted fully. So far I have made good cuts, but wonder what is going to happen as the ball bearings wear. Might have to change slides. Fence is great and easy to use. For the cost, I would definitely recommend this product.

I bought the crosscut sled and drop-off platform. After adjusting the tension to the maximum there was little resistance from the ball bearings. The springs compress with just finger pressure, My saw miter slot measured 0.753". The sled miter bar measured 0.730". The slop is 0.023", enough to "clunk" and not worth the $ for the set.  I returned the product.

I have a Grizzly 0478 Hybrid, it's a nice saw, but the left miter slot is a non-standard distance from the blade. It's actually too far away for this sled to work w/ my saw. After a great talk w/ the store staff, i'm going to patch on a piece of MDF w/ a 1/2 lap joint to span the distance to the blade, this will also give me a replacable wear section that i can replace if i change blades (narrow to standard kerf) and still have a 0 clearance. Nice product.

"Have been a return customer for a number of years, and a recent experience has really cemented that bond for me. After using my Rockler lighted magnifying lens for a few months, one of the wires from the battery pack came loose. When I contacted Customer Service to inquire about sending the unit back, they instead sent me a brand new one - no questions asked, no return expected, no charge whatsoever. This simple step - coupled with top quality, innovative products - ensured my repeat business more than any other advertising technique or gimmick could ever do. Keep up the good work, Rockler!"
