After searching the web for a pen case that was more portable than the wood cases, I ran across Rockler's and decided to give it a try based on the reviews. I purchased one on sale and it arrived today after only three days since ordering. This case is very well constructed and you don't have to feel like you are presenting your work with an inferior display piece. The zipper worked very easy and had no sticking points along its travel. This was a definite plus as was the felt tab between the two sleeves.

Great portfolio. Fantastic way to show off handmade pens and pencils. The black Backgrond really helps show off the pens and pencils. A great way to carry and hold and show the pens. The quality is Very good, and the fit and finish are fantastic. The felt divider does exactly what it needs to do, it protects the pens on both sides. The size is perfect for easy carrying, and the portfolio adds a more professional touch for selling purposes. I picked up two on sale, and I am so impressed, I will be buying more.

Very nice portfolio. The quality is quite good, and the fit and finish are top notch. The elastic straps should be good for many years. They are just a tiny bit close, for my preference, and large cigar style pens really butt up against eachother. However, Sierra/Gatsby/Wall Street pens fit nicely; Slimline Pros, fountain pens, and roller ball kits fit perfectly. The felt divider is a great touch and does exactly what it needs to do: protects the pens on both sides. The size is perfect for easy carrying, and the portfolio is nice enough to display for selling purposes. I picked up one on sale, was very impressed, and promptly bought another.

This pen case is a great place to store your handmade pens. It is heavyweight and durable. I bought one somewhere else first and it only had an elastic string that quickly broke. This case from Rockler has elastic straps that looks like it will last. Thanks Rockler and I am going to order 2 more.

This case ALMOST hits a home run. I purchased two of them when they were on 50% sale, having one already in my collection I jumped on the savings. All in all, these are a good buy great when they are on sale, however... and there is always a however. After storing numerous CA finished slimline pens in the case I noticed how there was a band on several pens specifically on the lower blank. The bands appeared as if there were scratched, most perplexing. It took a while before I realized that this was due to the CA finish rubbing on the elastic bands. This was only an issue on pens with a CA finish. I imagine that there is the possiblity of this also occurring to pens with an wax based finish, however I have not seen that as of yet. Acrylic pens did not have this issue, nor any pen where the lower portion was either metal or if the pen had a very slim profile too thin to consistently rub on the elastic. A wonderful solution would be if I could find a clear tube case whereby I could store the pen within then insert the case into the elastics. Currently the 3/4" tubes are too large. On the positive side, the case has held up as I have them ready for display at all times. The vinyl covering is easy to clean and the felt interior provides for a soft backing. I hope this helps anyone which had this issue as well.

This is a great pen wallet at a very reasonable price, I'm sure I'll buy more in the future. The felt separator in this wallet is nice as it covers all of the pens, I've seen others designed where a couple of the pens on the end bump each other when the wallet is closed.
