At only 2.4 lbs., the ETS 125 is the perfect candidate for prolonged sanding sessions. It’s a breeze to use with one hand, and is ideal for vertical surfaces and other difficult elements. Features a perfectly flat, precisely balanced sanding pad for minimal vibration and fatigue. Random orbit action with a 5/64" stroke produces the most satiny-smooth, swirl-free finish possible. JetStream dust extraction prevents dust from collecting at the center of the disc, prolonging abrasive life by up to 30%. Also features sanding pad brake to prevent swirls when starting and stopping the sander, stepless electronic speed control, StickFix hook-and-loop pad and an integral dust port for near total dust extraction. This sander along with the dust extractor is the dream solution!! Absolutely love how little dust it creates and how well it sands.

Otherwise a very well balanced, comfortable to operate, light machine. It does what you ask of it. My PC was iffy control wise on its own, and required two hands with a vac hooked up. The Festool is effortless on its own, and still comfortable with the vac hooked up.

I used to hate sanding and with the Festool sanders I can honestly say it is one of my favorite steps in woodworking now that it is dust free and comfortable. I didn't spring for the Festool vac, you can use a regular shopvac but might need to add some holes to the hose to reduce the vacuum or it will actually slow the sander down.

You will just have to put one in your hands and try it. I wanted to try one and see if it was different and it is very different. There is very little dust with the paper bag and almost zero dust with festool vacuum running. There is a vacuum between the sander and the piece you are sanding. It works great
