1) Submitted by Paul, from Niles, MI on 8/26/2010 Customer Rating: This dvd gave me a good preview of many of the proceedures needed to start making peppermills. The use of an old freezer to make a drying kiln proved an incentive to make one for myself from an unused freezer. I have also made the Vblock to cut round objects on my bandsaw. So, overall I'd have to give this dvd 2 thumbs up.

A first class video in all aspects. Great spindle turning advise that will greatly improve the quality of your work even if you decide not to make some mills. The design info will take your work from ho-hum to objects that force people to want them in their hands. Other turners I know simply fell in love with the dvd jacket cover photo of the maple mill, and just that picture changed their perception of design. Get it, you won't be sorry.

He doesn't just show you "how to" turn a peppermill. He guides you through the processes to make a peppermill that you and/or your customer will be very pleased with. There are so many extra features in the DVD. This is a "must own DVD" for all woodturners!

Ted's explanation of his design, planning and turning is second to none. This is the first video I have viewed that did not leave me with unanswered questions on the concept or completion of a project. A must have video even if you do not do turning just for his insite into design and planing.
