Crosscut Sled Drop-Off Platform

Combined with our Crosscut Sled (33113), this platform will provide true zero-clearance support on both sides of the blade for safe, splinter-free cuts. By keeping drop-off pieces from sagging at the end of the cut, it prevents them from splitting off unpredictably, and from getting jammed in the throat plate. Easy to use — just slide it into the miter track and lock in place with a single screw. Measures 10"W x 23-3/4"L x 1/2"Thick. MDF with melamine coating.

1) Submitted by Leon Johnson, from Erie, PA on 3/26/2009 Customer Rating: I recently added the drop off to my sled and used the set to cut thansition pieces for the second room I installed laminate flooring in. For the first room I used portable box to cut these pieces which require 45 degree joints. Using the cross cut sled and drop off platform gave me perfect joints without the fustration when I used the box. I also used the set for the baseboard pieces I needed to cover that required perimeter gag of the laminate flooring. This set is the solution perfect producing to 45 degree joints.

Just put the runner in the miter slot and run it thru the blade......INSTANT zero clearance on the right side of the blade. It works GREAT...along with the crosscut sled. It's worth the extra money to get both, really. My hat's off to Rockler for both of these fine accessories for the table saw!!

If this is your first time getting either the drop-off platform or the sled, know that it fits all table saws. It comes larger than the the expected fit so you can cut it to size with a 80+ tooth blade while it sits on your table saw. It's very sturdy and with it's slick surface it keeps the friction down while making your cuts. It would be nice if it was a bit wider on the right side, but this does the job very well.
