1) Submitted by Will, from Indianapolis, IN on 11/17/2009 Customer Rating: I've never met something this saw can't cut! The wiring was so easy in fact it was harder to pick out which plugs i wanted than to actually wire the saw. I bought mine from my local Rockler, where it was already roughly assembled by the extremely capable clerks, so I can't speculate on assembly time or difficulty, but if the maybe 20 minutes it took to dial it in once I got it home are any indication, out of the box assembly should be a cinch. The 3 horse motor is library quiet and impossibly powerful. I've seen absolutely no blade lag in deep cuts, even with a dull blade. I tried my best to choke it, running the max width and depth of my dado set, nothing, kept on humming. Like all saws of this size and caliber, there are a lot of fiddly bits to straighten out. So plan on spending some quality time with your new saw getting everything "3 bears" perfect. (this is true of all cabinet saws, and does not reflect negatively on the Jet saw) in fact it speaks to the abundant adjust-ability of the tool. The included fence is excellent in fact the guy I talked to at Rockler called it the "Bisemeyer done right". Again like on ANY SAW be sure to pay close attention to the raw cast-iron it's great for tools but will rust up in mere hours. To be fair I will mention the One drawback that i've seen; when cranked down all the way a ten inch blade wont clear the bottom of a new zero-clearance uncut insert... the easy solution throw one of your dado blade outsides in an cut almost all the way through then put in whatever blade you like and finish. easy. The left-hand tilt is safer than a traditional right hand and causes no extra problems. The saw is made by Jet which is owned by WMH Tool Group, which also owns Powermatic! So the powermatic may be pretty and yellow and come with a huge price tag, but I'd take my Jet any day! don't even make me mention Delta. Happy Sawing
