Simplex Concealed Hinge - Black

A simple, inexpensive concealed hinge for inset doors. Just drill a hole and press the bushing in place; the hinge pin pivots in the bushing. With no mortising required, installation is easy. The plate simply mounts to the surface of the door. Slots in plate allow side-to-side adjustability. Steel hinge with plastic bushing.

Hinge is 40mm wide x 17mm high x 16mm deep. Requires 8.5mm (approximately 11/32'') drill bit. Includes two screws Sold in pairs.

I found a media cabinet with broken hinges a yard sale. It now has a new life as a valued kitchen pantry in our home,thanks to you at Rockler. Rockler is the only hardware company I found that stocks the Simplex Concealed Hinge.Even the local so called big box hardware stores do not stock that hinge. Thanks again, Rockler!

Two of the eight I used had their heads twist off while driving and a couple others didn't make it through test fitting. Grab a bag of better screws before you ruin your work piece. Throw the original screws somewhere. Editor's note: When installing screws we make the following recommendations: a) Be sure to drill a pilot hole matching the screw. When drilling pilot holes be aware that hardwoods may need extra care to make sure pilot holes are thoroughly cleared. b) Always use a screw lube when installing hardware of any kind, this it especially critical when installing screws in hardwoods. c) Be careful if using a power driver that your drill's torque is set for driving screws rather than drilling. Using a power drill to install screws can easily turn them too quick and overtorque them. If in doubt, install with a hand driver rather than a drill.
