Two of the carbide cutters have an upshear angle to remove most of the stock. Then the pair of downshear cutters make a final cut to produce an ultra clean edge. I am making a series of picture frames from white oak to surround a series of recessed lights. I have been able to route the edges with no fuzz and very very little tearout. The quadra-cut bits that I have are truely the most remarkable router bits I have had the pleasure of using.

Freud Quadra-Cut router bit worked perfectly for profiling two current projects, one circular and one straight. There was no frayed edge produced on the piece and no sanding was required after profiling. The bit was costly but proved to be very good in doing its job. I will consider the Quadra-Cut for future router bit purchases.
