Double-Sided Sanding Sponges, 6-Pack

A terrific value at almost half the price of 6 individual sponges! Each sponge features medium grit on one face and edge, while the opposite face and edge has fine grit. Flexible core conforms nicely to turnings, moldings and other non-flat surfaces. They also work well on flat surfaces, especially between coats of finish, where a harder block would sand through the finish. Ideal for light to moderate sanding of wood, paint, metal, plastic and drywall. Each sponge measures 2-3/4"W x 4"L x 1" thick.

They won't shape to small details like routed profiles for single pass sanding. They can be used to sand such profiles one segment at a time. I keep one in my toolbelt so it's handy when I want to ease the edge of a board or sand off chipout after cutting a board.

Since they're a (little) more expensive than regular sandpaper I save them to use on curves and as the final step. Leave a very smooth finish. I only wish that the two different surfaces were color coded. I can tell which is medium and which is fine but it takes a bit of examination.
