Magswitch Universal Featherboard

Magswitch’s most requested product is finally here — the Magswitch Universal Featherboard. Double-sided design allows you to use it for either infeed or outfeed applications, regardless of which way the material is being fed. It works on the jointer for both table and fence. Switchable magnets allow you to position or relocate the featherboard anywhere on a steel table without clamps or a miter track. Simply turn knobs clockwise to engage, counter-clockwise to disengage. 3-7/8" x 6-7/8" overall.

They are extremely convenient, hold tight and are worth the price. I have used them on my table saw and jointer with great results. Do not hesitate to try them. You will be very happy.

Got this one to try them out. I am impressed. They are so much easier to set up and use. I find that I use it alot more then the T-slot. I am sold I will be buying more in the future.

6) Submitted by Robert, from Madison, WI on 4/6/2009 Customer Rating: My second favorite featherboard, outdone only by its larger cousin the 30mm Pro MagSwitch. However, this Universal FB has two distinct advantages, which make it very worth having: 1) the smaller footprint means that you can use it with less side space, which is great on bandsaw tables, cast iron router tables, jointer fences or tables, etc etc. 2) it can be on either side of the cutting blade. This is offset slightly by the inclusion of 20mm magnets, instead of the 30mm magnets, but it still has plenty of holding power for the above applications, and even for table saw use. Highly recommended for any tool that has a cast iron top. It is a convenient and excellent safety device.

I use the featherboard now and get better cuts where in the past I couldn't b/c the miterslot was not in the right place and set up takes too long. THis thing is a snap. I will be getting some more.
