In development for over two years, Band-It trimmer is simple by design yet skillfully engineered. The result is a single-sided Edge trimmer that is compact and durable.

The Band-It trimmer includes two replaceable single-bevel mat cutter blades allowing you to trim flush and cleanly in both directions. Additional replacement blades available.

Band-It Edge Trimmer did what I was hoping it would do. Nice clean cuts. If you are looking for a good edge trimmer this is the one to get.

Maybe I'll get the hang of it (only used it for one project so far), but I found it a little finicky to use. Of the two blades, one didn't seem to sit right, and no matter how firmly I pressed it against the workpiece, it didn't take anything off. The other blade, however, worked better -- plenty sharp, and cuts good and close. But press too hard and it'll gouge. Personally I found the results inferior to a plain old utility knife, which was my former method. It'll take a little practice I think.

It's definitely helpful during the veneering process but it isn't the only tool you will need. It is finicky to use but normally will get me close to my finished product. I still use a file and some 150 grit to finish.

This trimmer cut the banding just fine but it also scored the veneer. To avoid ruining the veneer, I ended up using a palm router with a 1/4" straight cutting bit with a bearing. Still used a file and sandpaper for final finishing. I would use this cutter on Melamine but not wood.

Absolutely useless for the "Plyedge" for which it seems to have been intended. The blades are not nearly sharp enough or thin enough. You need a real razor edge to cut this stuff, like the replaceable blades on a utility knife. You will ruin your Plyedge if you use it. I did.

It did not do any better than using my gyprock cutting knife. I still had to use my gyprock cutting knife in the corners.
