For the cleanest finish for routing the edges of hard or soft wood, woodworkers can look to Freud’s new Quadra-Cut™ router bits. These unique, patented bits employ four cutting edges, versus the industry standard of two, for a flawless finish on the most delicate of materials. Two of the carbide cutters have an upshear angle to remove most of the stock. Then the pair of downshear cutters make a final cut to produce an ultra clean edge. I don't know how this bit could be better, but Maybe, I love it, my sanding time has been drasticly reduced because of the smooth cuts.

I recently purchased the 1/2in Round-over Bit to go w/ the 5/16 in I owned previously. I have cut pine, cypress, walnut, and oak; in all cases the cuts have been clean and w/o splinters/ fuzz. Definitely worth the money.
