It is easy to fill and clean up and the having the ability to spray from any angle is great. I hightly recommend it to anyone, especially anyone who sprays a lot of cabinets.

2) Submitted by Joseph Ribak, from Mill Valley, CA on 3/2/2009 Customer Rating: After using the PPS system for almost a year, I am very pleased with the performance. With my 2-stage turbine, I mostly shoot lacquer products, (alcohol-based) stains, polyurethane, and conversion varnish. However, I have also used some water-based products with great results. For me, the ability to shoot at any angle insures that I can spray every surface of a furniture piece, regardless of the orientation of its surfaces. Another advantage is that I can see the amount of product remaining in the liner, through the clear cup. This is a big advantage during bigger projects, in that it allows me to refill at an optimal point in the process. The fact that the cup (and liner) is clear also allows for easy reading of the mixing ratio guide from inside or outside of the cup. The clean-up is a breeze, since I only need to clean the gun. I simply put a little of the corresponding solvent into a fresh liner, and spray through the gun. Then, I cap the liner (caps included) and on it I write the solvent type, save the liner, and reuse it a few more times (with the same solvent). I think this is a great product, a brilliant invention, and a huge time (and solvent) saver.

3) Submitted by Gerard , from Edmond, OKLAHOMA on 5/24/2008 Customer Rating: In conversation I have heard that this product is to the spray finish industry what the "sticky note" is to the business industry. Having used the system for a couple of weeks now I can attest to this analogy and add it's even greater. My $700.00 3-stage HVLP turbine has sat vacant for the greater part of the last 10 years because of the inefficient and annoying spay cup that came with it. The gun is a well made (Accuspray #11) pressure feed model which works very well when you don't mind investing an additional 30 minutes of clean up time, 16 oz of solvent and dealing with the mess and oder which normally ensues. The 3M PPS spray cup with liner eliminated this whole step while allowing me to spray at any angle, including inverted, while spaying latex under the soffits of my shop. As an experiment to see how long paint will stay usable in one of these inserts, I removed as much air as I could by squashing down a used half full liner and then plugged it with one of the included plugs. Four days latter the paint was still "sprayable". I imagine storing this in the shop fridge would have prolonged its usable life even further. Without question this is a product which will remain at the top of your "best tool in the shop" list.

I shoot only water based paint, so the thinned finish stays fresh in the container for days because it is under a slight vacuum. Petroleum based products will also keep longer, but not like water based finishes. Gun cleanup is a snap... just run water through it until the stream is clear. Highly recommended!
