With its modular design, the MFK-700 is more than a trim router—it’s a
cost-saving multi-purpose tool. It includes a standard router base for
vertical trim routing, as well as a second base for horizontal applications.
Simply attach the appropriate base, rather than reaching for a different tool,
and you’ll be equipped to trim veneers, handle any edge or corner
application, rout grooves straight away, and much more. Change from vertical
to horizontal routing in seconds, and attach and remove every component of
the MFK without a single tool. Both bases feature a large, stable bearing
surface and ergonomically designed guide handles for precise results. Plus,
the included horizontal base is inclined 1.5° to protect the surface
material and eliminate the need for additional filing or sanding. A powerful
720 Watt motor utilizes soft start technology and onboard thermal monitoring
to protect against overload, while a super-fine micro adjustment knob allows
for fine tuning the cut depth with an accuracy of 1/10 of a millimeter. And, of
course, it meets Festool’s high standards of dust collection capability with
ports on both router bases as well as an included swivel dust collection
connector.
