The accuracy is fine for the model work I do. I like that you can switch between decimal inches and metric. My old one is a dial caliper (also made out of plastic) and has served my needs for over 20 years. The digital caliper meets all my needs today and give me a tool which will give me another 20 years of service.

I like the quick and easy conversion of the measurement from inch, mm and fractional measurement. I must admit I was a bit disappointed upon opening the package to find the caliper was made of plastic, must have missed that in the fine print. I guess I just assumed the caliper was made of metal. The accuracy is reasonable for wood projects, but I would not use it in a metal fabricating shop.

It is a plastic caliper but the repeatability of measurements is good. If you need a caliper for daily use in a business environment you need a metal caliper but for occasional use around the home shop this will be sufficient if treated gently.
