Bessey Revo K-Body Clamps

For high pressure clamping, 90 degree clamping, or powerful spreading, the new K Body REVO is an ideal choice. Its large, parallel jaws are uniquely designed to distribute even pressure across the entire surface of your work to stop bowing, turning, and lifting. The K Body’s updated design includes three removable jaw protection caps to help prevent wear. They are repellent to glue, easily replaceable, and resist paint and grease solvents. A quick-release feature allows the movable jaw to slide up and down the rail by simply angling the comfortable Power-Grip handle. Plus, each clamp includes two slip-on workpiece supports that attach to the rail, providing a stable base and preventing direct contact between the clamp and the actual workpiece. Compatible with K-P clamp blocks and the K-Body Clamp Extender.

1) Submitted by Ken Wagner, from South Pasadena, CA on 7/1/2011 Customer Rating: The clamps are excellent, but the plastic facing on the hand-screw portion of the clamp seems fragile. It can break during shipping, as others have noted. I would inspect the clamp in the store before buying. I have a number of Bessey clamps of various sizes. A feature I like very much is the extender which allows two clamps to be joined to make an even longer clamp, which I find useful for large cabinets. The K-P Blocks allow four clamps to be arranged, much like tic-tac-toe, to clamp a rectangular object, like edge banding on a door. The positions of the clamps are easy to adjust, and the blocks hold the clamps in place, while keeping the object flat. This greatly simplifies the clamping operation.

I used them to glue boards together and found them to be very easy to use, adjust and are very sturdy. They are a A++++ item in my book....

4) Submitted by Bogie, from Helotes, TX on 7/18/2009 Customer Rating: It is really difficult to do much to parallel clamps, but the subtle changes with Bessey's Revo clamps do make a difference...the wider footprint on the clamping area and the two slip-on workpiece supports are definite plusses. For me the improved release mechanism and the smoother operation make ALL the difference in the world. I bought these clamps to help with the assembly of our Grandson's crib--they had to be right and we were not disappointed!

5) Submitted by Danny Hellyar, from Santee, CA on 4/18/2009 Customer Rating: I like the new features on these clamps.The plastic pieces help keep the bar from picking up glue by keeping it up off the work, and the plastic end piece make it easier to hang up when not in use. The larger face is a plus as well. the clamp heads to slide smoother and easier than the new Jet brand parallel clamps so if I'm paying retail then these would be my choice.

6) Submitted by Rob, from Atlanta, GA on 2/6/2009 Customer Rating: I only have one other type of parallel clamp to compare these to- I have 6 Irwin parallel clamps. The Bessey clamps are lighter, are easier to use, and overall just feel better made. The Irwin clamps mar and knick the bars, they don't release very well. I like the plastic pieces that help keep the workpiece off the bar, so you don't have to worry about the bar staining or denting the workpiece, helps to keep the clamp on straight as well. The removable caps are nice as well, in case you ever scratch or ding one, you can just slip a new one on. These are my new favorites, along with my Rockler aluminum bar clamps, of course.

The Bessey Revo's are every bit as good and slightly easier to adjust, since there is no trigger to depress like on the Jet clamps. The Bessey's will slide even when you wish they didn't, though. Not sure yet if that is any kind of an issue. It's just a slightly different mechanism. The clamping power is everything you could hope for. Bottom line, they just work, and work well. Highly recommended.
