For the price, I am very pleased with this jig. Although somewhat flimsy, I've had no problems with being able to tighten the stop in place, or with securing the angle setting wing-nut as some people have claimed. It's not that flimsy either, I've cut a number of 8/4 cherry and oak table legs 24" with very good repeatability. The angle setting gauge is OK as a rough guide, but if you want accuracy you should take a differential measurement from each end, which is no big deal. For occasional use, this is a great jig to have around.

The jig does what it is meant to do. It makes it easy to make tappers on a lot of different projects. The only down side I have had is holding the work piece in place while pushing it though the saw and of coarse the jig price was cut in half right after I ordered it!

It works well and for my purposes table legs, panels and the like it sure beats making one myself. It is easy to use and well worth the money. For the home shop it is a very good investment.

This jig is a must have for anyone doing any kind of woodworking. It functions very well. The only thing negative I can say is that the assembly instructions are terrible. If you get it, throw away the instructions and just look at the photo on the box to assemble the pieces.

Read all the reviews on this item before purchasing. Most of the negative ones can be fixed. Yes, the manufacturer should have made these fixes. But they are no reason to not purchase this item. The problems with the "Taper" not holding can be easily fixed by adding 2 star washers to the wing nust that make this portion function. As far as the back stop sliding, I have not had that problem. Guess it might have been operator error. Nice jig. GREAT price.

It's better to spend time using a jig than building one. Consistent results provide matching legs with little effort. The thumb screw that sets the length stop is difficult to get tight enough without slipping but it is still a good value. I plan on using this jig a lot in the future.

Good jig in the hands of an experienced woodworker. Also beats the home built jigs I have made in the past.

"Have been a return customer for a number of years, and a recent experience has really cemented that bond for me. After using my Rockler lighted magnifying lens for a few months, one of the wires from the battery pack came loose. When I contacted Customer Service to inquire about sending the unit back, they instead sent me a brand new one - no questions asked, no return expected, no charge whatsoever. This simple step - coupled with top quality, innovative products - ensured my repeat business more than any other advertising technique or gimmick could ever do. Keep up the good work, Rockler!"
