A new and improved version of the original Quick-Grip — one of Irwin’s
best-selling clamps! Since not every workpiece has perfectly even edges, the
SL300 adds a swivel jaw that conforms to angled surfaces and combats the
inevitable flexing that occurs with resin clamps. It also features a
spring-loaded, quick-change screw that makes it easy to reverse the smaller
end-piece and transform the clamp to its other function — a
high-performance spreader. The screw also eliminates rattle in the end jaw. A
heavy-duty I-Beam Bar allows you to apply 300 lbs. of clamping pressure
with minimal bending and flexing. All these improvements come without any
added weight, so the clamp retains its chief benefit: simple one-handed
operation.
Additional features:
- Quick-Release™ trigger provides fast positioning and
maximum hand comfort.
- High-tech Resin construction for lightweight and a long clamp life.
- Heat-treated, black oxide carbon steel I-Beam Bar for extreme
durability.
- Protective Resin jaw pads are removable.
- Patented locking swivel jaw locks/unlocks with a flip of a
switch.

Customer Rating:
These are very convenient to use, and are my most used clamps. They're light enough to be easy to adjust, and can generally be uses one handed. This is a big plus when you're working against the clock on glue setup time. They're also strong enough to apply plenty of pressure. I got mine on sale, which makes them a great value.

I needed a Clamp/Stretcher combination for use in recovering some outdoor "sling" type chairs. The fabric must be very tightly stretched and after struggling with other methods, I found these clamps and WOW, problem solved. The off center holding power and versatility of the clamp and stretch configurations really make this product outstanding!

These clamps are great! They tighten as tight as I want without slipping and are excellent for cases where I only have one free hand to apply the clamp.

I have been using some smaller claps of another brand and was disappointed in their lack of clamping power. I have other clamps which twist to tighten, but with arthritis, I can barely use my hands the next day, My wife asked what was wrong with my hands and suggested I but this type. Well....I couldn't pass up an offer like that and bought 2 of each size. I am a retired mechanical engineer and am impressed with thier design and ease of use. The "H" beam provides a very ridig means of stability for clamping power, and a large surface on the grips that is easy on my arthritis. Being able to use them as a "spreader is very handy also. Great product!

These are ok, I have the 12" Bessy Clamps that I like better. The angling clamp pad doesn't tilt very much. But they do clamp well and I got them on sale, so you couldn't beat the price.

I own the Irwin 12 inch clamps that perform very well except they are heavier and harder to use with one hand. The thing I love about the SL300s is that they are very good for when you only have one hand available. Very easy onehand use. The angling clamp pad is also a big plus for the not perfectly square items that need strong clamping power which the SL300s provide. Love them. A great addition to any clamp collection.

I have a dozen of these I bought from a wholesale liquidator and they are Ok. . But like another poster I too like the Bessey ones better. I'll probably sell the Quick grips and go all Bessey.

Incredibly strong, and their ability to quickly convert to spreaders is key. For perfectly square doors/drawers, make a square, solid box and use a couple of these in spreader mode to press the doors/drawers into square, and skip the big pipe clamps.
