I got this to go with a Jet jjp-12 jointer planer for my small shop. The shop has a very uneven floor and other mobile bases were both flimsier and much more likely to bottom out. This is simply amazing in how well it works with the 530 pound jointer/planer.

I was amazed how easily I could push around my Delta Unisaw (vintage 1976, 400+ Lbs) on the rough concrete floor of my shop. I just bought another one for the 17" bandsaw and now we'll see how it does with about 600 Lbs. on it. Based on what I have experienced so far, I would say no problems. Simplicity in design, large wheels, fit, finish, and overall quality are all excellent. You get what you pay for. Far better that the Shop Fox bases I have been using.

I have to admit I was skeptical about buying such an expensive base, but I can now say it was definitely worth it! I installed this on my Craftsman contractor saw and it really does make moving the saw almost effortless. I have a basement shop and the floor is less than perfect, the house itself is 100 plus years old and the floor has its issues. The stand rolls right over the imperfections with no problem. I am one of those people that wasted money on several other mobile bases before getting this one. Each of them was less than perfect to say the least, and the idea of lifting my saw by the fence rails every time I need to move it just seemed ridiculous. None of that with this stand, just unlock the wheels and roll the saw in place. And when I’m done, roll it back to the corner out of the way. If I add up the money I wasted on other stands and had just bought this model first, I would have saved money.

One of the best mobile bases I've seen in a long time. Well worth the money. Here's a bit of advice to save you time and trouble- if you need to purchase the extension kits to accommodate a larger machine you should do so. I thought I could use my own steel to accomplish that task and it wasn't the same thing and I ended up purchasing extensions from Rockler. While they may look like just plain flat steel they are in reality hardened and rolled with just a slight curvature that makes them stiffer.
