Recently, I needed to clamp a plywood part to a smooth reference surface about 6" from the edge so that I could cut biscuit slots in the end. It was very awkward to use c-clamps for this, so I mounted two of the T-handle clamps to a flat scrap of plywood and clamped the plywood to the workbench with c-clamps. The T-handle clamps held the workpiece securely and allowed me to cut multiple biscuit slots repeatably in a number of shelves. Generally, a spacer equal to the thickness of the part being clamped is needed under the clamp mount. I found the clamping force to be quite adequate! it can be increased by unscrewing the rubber foot and screw to lower it slightly.
