Rockler High Pressure Laminate Router Table, Fence & Plate - Package #1

This table-fence-plate package features our new tabletop, redesigned to ramp-up performance! Durable high-pressure laminate sandwiches a 1-1/8" thick MDF core for a flat and stable 24" x 32" work surface. And with a built-in aluminum miter track and an 10-point plate leveling/locking system, setup and operation are a breeze. The aluminum fence features two adjustable melamine-coated MDF faces, front and top accessory T-tracks and an integrated bit guard, while a new, larger 8-1/4" x 11-3/4" x 1/4" precision-machined aluminum plate provides sag-free support.

New larger plates equipped to handle any router! All of our Rockler (blue) aluminum router plates are a full 8-1/4" x 11-3/4" x 1/4" - the perfect size for any router and all of our new tables! Every heavy-duty aluminum plate includes an insert with a 1-1/2" bit opening, plate-locking bolts for our new leveling and locking system (Shown at right), and router-mounting hardware. And now, finding the right plate is easy! Just locate the Group your router belongs to (see overview) and select a table package with a plate pre-drilled for that Group. If your router is not listed, choose from the Standard (3-1/4" insert opening) or Large (3-11/16" insert opening) blank-plate options and drill custom mounting holes. The fence's top-mounted T-track accepts 5/16" T-bolts, 1/4" T-bolts, and 1/4" Hex bolts for featherboards, stops, and more! Combined with the new plate and a more stable table, this package has everything you need for reliable, quality performance. Aluminum fence includes Universal T-slot that accepts 5/16" T-bolts, 1/4" T-bolts, and 1/4" Hex bolts.

I am very pleased with the finish and function and it is a good choice in my opinion. The table comes with an oversized plate and the inserts available at the local Rockler store don't fit this plate. Unfortunately, they are only available online and seem difficult to find on the website. If you need an oversized insert, I would suggest that you buy it when you order the top. I would suggest that Rockler make these inserts available at stores and that they discuss this issue in some fashion when you make a purchase. I had to work hard to find the necessary inserts. Also, I recommend the accessory package.... the featherboards and dust collection are a nice setup. All in all, this is a very, very good top for the $. As another side issue, I mounted my 2.25 Triton under the table and it all works great. I had to drill a hole in the plate for above the table height adjustment, but that is no big deal.

I didn't want the ready built legs for it so I made a simple cabinet for the base. I plan on using the table to make drawers and doors for it. Right out of the box, I was busy wondering why I had put up with the shop-made table I used for so long. I found it easy to assemble and mount onto my old stand. The fence is truly square to the table top right out of the box. The plate fit perfectly on the table top and to my Rigid router. This is a solid surface that is dead flat. I am well satisfied with this product. By the accessory kit# 23950 for a perfect set-up.

5) Submitted by John, from Kenton, OH on 8/16/2009 Customer Rating: Top notch table. With the accessory kit,it truly stands out. Feather boards on the fence is a breeze. Dust port on the back of the fence, is alot better then my other router table, and shaper for that matter, which would build up behind the bit. I purchased the Porter Cable height adjust knob. The table was easy to assemble even on an old outdated stand with a quick drilling of a few holes. The table is very sturdy has been a joy to work with, easily attaching feather boards and other accessories which are not all rocker made. Very flexible in that manner.
