These 1/4" thick aluminum plates all measure 8-1/4" x 11-3/4" - the exact size of the plate opening in Bench Dog's new ProTop and ProMaxRT router tables. Each plate has a different mounting-hole configuration so that virtually every router on the market will fit one of the four pre- drilled options. The most popular routers on the market have been divided into Groups, with a plate assigned to each Group.

Just locate your router in one of the groups below. If it's not listed, simply custom-drill either of Bench Dog's two blank-plate options to fit your router. All plates include an insert with a 1-1/2'' bit opening. Optional inserts sold separately.

PLEASE NOTE: Because different table top materials (HPL, phenolic or cast iron) require different leveling screws, the leveling screws are included with the table tops. For customers making custom table tops we recommend 22994 Router Plate Leveling and Locking Hardware Pack.

Optional Router Plate Leveling and Locking Hardware Pack sold separately. Includes (8) Plate Leveling screws to level the plate and (2) 1/4'' - 20 Threaded Inserts to accept the Lock Down Bolts (included with the plates).

It fit my Dewalt perfectly. Its a durable piece of aluminum but it could have come with some installation options/plans.

I purchased the Bench Dog router table saw extention the fit was flawless for my table saw. It was as if made for the my table saw. The Bench Dog Router Table Plates that came with the extension fit my router perfectly. The only issue was I did not order the plate with the above table adjustment hole predrilled. No issue it is easy enough to reach under and adjust. The adjustment of the set screws to match the plate with the surface of the table was straight forward and once done will not require readjustment. I purchased mine 3 years ago and I am an avid woodworker using my tools all the time. I am completely satisfied with the quality of the tools from Bench Dog. I am buying another plate to build another router table.

I purchased this plate to use with my Milwaukee 5615 router. The pre drilled mounting holes lined up perfectly but the mounting screws protruded above the plate by 1/32 to 1/64 inches. Bench Dog was quick to send me a new plate with the mounting holes counter sunk the proper depth. I did not have the tools to deepen the counter sinks in the aluminum the plate is made of. Kudos to Bench Dog for fixing the problem.

I found that the flat head screws mounting the router stuck up from the surface of the plate. The countersinks are not deep enough, or the screws provided have heads which are too thick. I could have enlarged the countersinks, but it would have taken off the coating. Instead I ground the screws down so that they were flush with the plate. This only took a few minutes and was not a major problem. There were no instructions for the hardware. I was puzzled by how deep the large countersinks were for the 1/4" flatheads. They are sized for a 5/16" flat head at least. The screws provided were 1/4" x 20 which matched the inserts included. They did a very good job on milling the plate. It was very parallel and flat. The finish was flawless and it was well packed for shipping. It was deburred well with no sharp edges. The tapping was good as well. A stop post is included. The length of the thread was greater than the plate thickness causing the screw to project from the back side. This is not a big problem if there is clearance behind the plate but I had to grind the length a little to be flush. The milling on the plate is very high quality.

I installed the Bench Dog router table plate 22031 into a new table I just built. The dimentional accuracy and finish of the product is excellent. The only detail that I view as a flaw is that the plate is not flat. This might have been intentionally designed into the plate to counter act the weight of the router.
Mine was less that 0.010" convex when trammed end to end along the long axis. Additonal mounting holes could be drilled in the plate to pull it flat but this is not necessary on a woodworking tool. I'm impressed by the value of this plate, and I will have no reservations about buying Bench Dog products in the future.
