The one-of-a-kind JWBS-16B 16" Bandsaw with TSC has a triangular design that provides superior column rigidity. The triangular column keeps the bandsaw from flexing as it tackles tough applications. 1) Submitted by RMalahowski, from Concord, CA on 3/15/2009 Customer Rating: The saw quality was very good and easy to put together. It is a nice quiet machine and the wheels seem to be well balanced. The only issues that prevented me from rating this excellent: The Euro style blade guide bearing were misaligned due to the construction of the bearings. This made it difficult to set these correctly. These were poor quality and I would strongly advise replacing with the roller bearings. For as much as this saw cost, the roller bearings should be standard. The upper blade guard begs to be removed. The lower portion gets in the way of seeing the work. In the end, I removed the upper blade guard and cut off that portion that goes below the blade guide. I don't like to operate without the blade guard. The table was fairly flat, about 1/32" off in the direction parallel to the saw blade. Flat on that portion perpendicular to the saw blade. Actual resaw capacity is just shy of 10.5 inches when using the bearing style blade guides. The saw stability makes for very nice veneer cuts. Make your own guide rather than paying the extra bucks for the Jet guide. Overall, nice saw. Good saw for woodturners like me.
