Move suction from tool to tool like never before! One end fits snug on any tool with
a 2-1/2'' dust port; the other connects tool-free to the Dust Right® Handle (which
attaches to 4'' hose and, ultimately, your dust collector). Packs of two. Clamps included.
|
The Ports feature a flexible rubber boot on one side that guarantees a tight
connection and allows for slight variations in the size of the tool’s dust port. Dust Right® Handle (22643) is available individually, with the Dust Right® Master
System (35906), or with the Dust Right® Floor Sweep System (36134).

This port and the handle allowed me to hook up an older rolling dust collector to my portable chopsaw quite nicely. I'm not attuned to the intricacies of CFM and static and other issues surrounding "real" dust collection systems at this point, just glad to be able to save ALOT of cleanup work (and my lungs).

This product works great. The only draw back for me was that the hard plastic pulled out of the rubber boot. I solved the problem by putting a clamp around wher the two parts connect. Works great.

When I put the adapter on my chop saw the weight of the Dust Right was so heavy it popped the rigid and rubber pices apart. I fixed it the same way by adding another hose clamp. Not a big deal, but it should be included with the kit. If it came with the 2 clamps, I'd probably rate it a 5.

This a remarkable fixing item. There are so many sizes in the market claiming to be 2’ or 4”, but all different. With its rubber side adapter you can wrap it around any size port and clamp it securely. It helped me to convert all my equipments to my new 4” 2 HP dust collector. That is why I had to buy many of them. I added another clamp on the rubber part, so it stays better of when I pull the hose from the machines, as sometimes, because of the dust they got sticky.

The Dust Right hose is heavy, and when you connect it to the 2.5" adapter if the adapter position is not just right it will separate the rubber portion of the adapter from the plastic portion.
I had this problem with my router table. The dust port on my table angles upward, so when the 2.5 inch adapter is attached it is also angled upward. After attaching the Dust right hose to the adapter I turned on the dust collector which causes the hose to retract somewhat, and in the process of retracting it separates the adapter where the rubber meets the plastic.
I cured this problem by buying an additional clamp and clamping the rubber where it meets the plastic, thus preventing the rubber from slipping over the retaining ring on the plastic portion. Doing this prevents the rubber from rotating on the plastic portion, but it keeps the adapter together.

Just what I needed for my oscillating spindle sander. However, it does need extra clamps to keep the weight of the Dust Right handle from pulling it apart. Other than that flaw, it is useful.

Product will separate from rubber boot when attached to a hose system. This can be resolved with an extra hose clamp. As is, the product is unusable without the additional clamp.
