Been using them ever since. Honestly do not know how I would have done some of the things I have used them to do without them.

3) Submitted by John, from Pittsburgh, PA on 4/11/2009 Customer Rating: Expensive piece of hardware, but essential if you are putting together many face frames with pocket screws. I bought only one clamp, but two additional aluminum plates that I recessed into my work bench in various places. This allows positioning large frames in the best position with ample support to ensure flat, flush connections. If you're short on cash, go for the extra base plate(s) before getting a second clamp. Excellent third hand.

I also use this on my open-frame metal drill press table - an excellent, solid and versatile clamp. Only problem, two are more versatile than one.

In my experience Kreg Products are outstanding. I own many of them. Even if you think it's a little pricey, keep checking Rockler. They have sales on them from time to time.

I have drawers under my inside bench and the holes drilled for the holdfasts turn my drawers into trash cans. I also have an outside bench and the aluminium plate works well with the weather. The new model with the crank is an improvement.
