Bench Cookies give you the freedom and ability to:
Rout, sand, cut and carve without using clamps
Raise up workpieces for easy edge finishing
Support projects without leaving marks
Assemble projects on a stable, non-slip base
Set up quickly for any application
The secret is the Bench Cookie’s grippy, non-marring rubber pads.
Similar to material
on router mats, these pads grab your bench and your workpiece at the
same time for
rock-solid holds. For best results, use at least four Bench Cookies to
stabilize your
projects.

I just purchased two sets of these from my local store. I am very impressed. They work as advertized even when covered in sawdust.
Kudos to Rockler for coming up with these. I am a professional woodworker building fine furniture and I have been frustrated by the poor performance of the sanding mats I have in the shop.
I highly recommend the Bench Cookies.

These things are as unbelievably good as everyone else has noted. BUT, one more thing: They are great if you want to sand small or thin pieces. Just put the sandpaper down on a flat surface and sandwich the piece to be sanded between the paper and a Bench Cookie and go to it! The Cookie grips the wood well enough to move the piece for sanding and you don't kill your fingertips in the process. Great innovation, Rockler!

I purchased these to try in place of my worn out router mat. What an improvement! The cookies hold the work well and up high enough so I can run the router around the edge without contantly re-positioning the piece.
I have also used them while sanding projects. The piece stays put and the cookie's holding power doesn't seem to be affected by the dust.
I am very pleased with the product.

Great Idea! I just got them a few days ago and have already enjoyed using them. They hold material in place very well.

I got some because they were on sale and I thought for that price, why not? They sat for a few weeks then I needed to sand some cutting boards that needed initial work with the belt sander. Since my new work bench is still under construction I figured I would really test the bench cookies. I placed them on my waxed table saw and then the cutting board. I started up the 4x24 sander and the cutting board did not move. I think I might order a few more sets just to have as they are that handy.
