Looking for a better way to connect wood pieces? These innovative biscuits actually pull workpieces together as they get driven into place. No clamps — no waiting! Use any biscuit joiner to cut grooves, then add some glue and simply pound in a Fixo. Two styles available: use the wider L-Style Biscuits (24124) on face connections for picture frames, face frames, and more, and the H-Style Biscuits (25059) to join boards “on end” for cabinet bases, mitered boxes, etc.

How does it work?
Each biscuit has several barbed, wedge-shape ridges on either side of it. These ridges are angled and positioned in such a way that, as the biscuit gets driven into place, they sink into the walls of the groove and actually pull the two workpieces together.

I used these to join the 45 degree planes of a frame. They hold very well but didn't really "clamp" together the wood as I drove them into place as the video shows. Very fast and convenient in place of traditional biscuits.

Tthe biscuits will not work with 3/4" frames --- it's too long --- at the miter joint. My biscuit cutter doesn't have that small of a cut.
