Dust Right® Hose Storage Rack

These unique racks help compress our Dust Right® Expandable Hose for fast and neat space-saving storage. With suction power on, simply place the Dust Right® Handle (connected to the hose) on the rack’s platform. A vacuum-effect condenses 20+ feet of hose into a tidy 3 or 4 foot column. Two sizes available to match our two hose options.

The rack's two retaining magnets hold the metal-coiled hose in place, keeping your entire hose secure in the least possible space! Additional features: Mounts easily with only two screws (not included) Solid steel for strength and durability Powder-coated black finish Note: May require using a shim to vertically align the hose and rack (click "More Images" for illustration).

Follow the instructions and leave the dust collector on while you put the dust right handle onto the bottom plate and with a little help the hose compresses back to 3'. Remember to be sure the hose is against the magnets on the rack before you shut off your dust collector and you all set, all stored nice and neat!

3) Submitted by Greg, from Prairieville, LA on 5/7/2009 Customer Rating: I bought this to store my 20 ft Rockler hose that I use to vaccum the floor in my shop. It works very good but has fallen from the magnets on several occasions even after making sure it was mounted perfectly level as per instructions. I did have to run additional ductwork since my ductwork for the application was running horizontal and the storage rack requires it to be vertical. I am also adding 2 additional magnets in hope that it will keep it from falling loose.

It is a very clever and useful tool. I haven't done anything else with it put it appears to hold the hose securely. I would recommend it to anyone who moves his equipment around to use it and than stores it in a corner out of the way.

6) Submitted by Dale Peterson, from Stillwater, MN on 9/23/2009 Customer Rating: I have my Dust Right hose rack properly installed very close (8 ft away) to my 2HP Oneida cyclone dust collector. Even with very strong suction, this hose does not "jump" up into place like it should. It needs lots of persuasion. Three hands would help. I also agree with others that there should be more magnets added to future versions. Don't buy this rack if you think that the 30 ft. dust collection hose is going to jump into place by just setting the end on the rack.

7) Submitted by Kenny, from Dana Point, CA on 7/7/2009 Customer Rating: I bought this for use with the 4'/28' Expandable Hose. It's a good concept but the hose is too heavy and the 3 magnets are simply not strong enough to hold the hose. It also takes awhile to finagle the hose into position so that the magnets will grab hold. I ended up adding additional magnets and the hose now seems to be holding. Will give it a couple of days to see if it is still holding. You are probably better off simply hanging the handle on the end of the hose either using the accessory provided for this or one of the spring brackets, and letting the hose drape on the floor.
