This knife is made for the hobbyist, not the serious craftsman, and certainly not for professional hands. So, if you intend to experiment for a few days, cutting up a chunk of basswood, and then retiring the knife to the bottom of your tool box, this knife may meet your needs. If, on the other hand you love tools, as I do, and intend to use the knife for years to come then look elsewhere. My apologies for sounding so harsh, but as Crocodile Dundee said "That's not a knife"
