The Velcro collar is great, but the skirt is to narrow, it needs to be at least 6" wider on each side.

I had been looking at smocks, etc. for my woodturning. When I saw this apron I realized that it would do everything I needed (keep the chips out of the inside of my shirt!). I, also, noticed that it was priced at less than 1/2 of the other items I was considering. This apron is exactly what I needed and it is a high quality product. I'm pleased!!

Can't agree with the other raters on this item. Being new to wood turning I was looking for an inexpensive apron. However, this one does not fit well at all & is difficult to put on & take off. Also, the collar does not fit well at all & the velcro tends to irritate the neck because of this. I have subsequently purchased a different wood turning jacket. I am being generous by giving this item a "Fair" rating.

Comfortable, sturdy and fairly easy to put on and take off once you figure out how the straps really work.
The collar keeps chips and dust from going down the neck of my shirt, and my body really appreciates the difference! Yeah, it could stand to be another 6-12" wider at the hips, but I could stand to be 6-12" narrower at the hips, too.

I'd suggest, now that I've used it a dozen times or more, that the breast pocket have six spaces or even four, but not just two. pencils, pens, other things go well there...
and no offense intended, but if the velcro scratches your neck, you've got it on backwards or inside-out. the velcro straps, if aligned anywhere near straight, don't come close to your neck...sorry...and if you have trouble putting it on, leave the back straps attached when you take it off and just pull it over your head to put it on, or have your wife/partner/someone help you.

Only if you have a 20 plus inch neck would the "soft-cloth collar stop shavings and chips from getting into your shirt". It is diffcult to put on and once again too large for the average person.

This apron seems to be a good idea....except it is not one-size-fits-all. I thought I was a medium-build, but the neck on this was much too large and would have funneled chips down my neck, and the waist was too big even when cinched to the max. Probably OK for a large person.

The two shortcomings I find are: 1. A lack of pockets. Where and when was it decided that a pen/pencil pocket, combined with another that size, was adequate? I couldn't have too many pockets in my aprons. Please add pockets, and 2. The Velcro around the neck will not adequately tighten to keep out chips. My neck is 18", surely at least average, but I have had to add Velcro to tighten the neck adequately. That said, I love the apron. It's the best thing I have seen for turning, and I have tried many things. The above two fixes would give it a solid 5!

It fits, is easy to use and keeps chips from getting in and/or on my clothes. Well worth the price.
