If you’ve ever struggled to make a lengthy angled cut, this is the jig for you. With a simple indexed angle setting system, heavy duty hold-down clamps and a smooth sliding design, it makes tapered cuts fast, easy and precise. Perfect for chair legs, table legs and more. Plus, with the miter bar removed it doubles as a stable straight line ripping jig. Includes 36" miter bar. Measures 31-5/8'' x 7-3/4''. 1/2'' thick MDF.

Jig fits snug in any standard 3/8'' x 3/4'' miter slot and features a large, ergonomic handle for smooth push-action performance throughout the cut.

Additional features:

  • Indexing marks make angle setting easy — each mark represents 1° of taper.
  • Dual tape measures provide convenient reference and also help set angles.
  • Two wide-body hold down clamps prevent stock from drifting dangerously from your fence.
  • Clamps have non-marring rubber caps for better grip.
  • Three adhesive strips run across the jig to help stabilize your workpiece.
  • With taper angle zeroed out, jig works great to rip straight edges on rough lumber.

I found that I needed to route the T-bolt head gouges deeper by a sixteenth of an inch to clear the slide bar and traction pads. But, that done, the jig works very well.

Another great new product. I have a Jet Cabinet saw and using the outboard holes, it fit perfectly to my saw blade. I did not have to cut a thing on the jig. Easy to set up, the clamps are great and the handle gives great control. I can see me using this alot for thin straight-line cuts. The only thing I added to the jig was a 3/4" hole for hanging the jig on the wall.

I have used my own shop made jigs for this kind of job, but this jig appears to the job better and is much more flexible. I can also visualize many other uses other than as a taper jig.

Even though I have a jig I did myself (plywood made with clamps) this one is more straight (MDF) and is more simple than mine which made me use it instantly.

I can be use for different applications.

I'm satisfy with it, because it is easy to handle.

As any MDF jig or table I can have I added some oil first and then Shellac around the trim and where the parts move, in order to make it more compact and durable throughout the yrs of use.

I was almost forced to make a similar jig before this one was available. I had to make some taper cuts in window trim molding (window is close to the ceiling) and needed a way to hold the narrow molding securely. This jig is better than what I planned to make. The only problem was cutting the metal rulers after installation.

Platform should be larger, too small for wide boards. Handle location precludes using full width of platform. Shorter T bolts are too short, barely engage. Instructions provided are skimpy, printed on the box. Platform did not reach blade on my Powermatic 2000, so zero clearance using miter bar is not possible.
