Accurate to .002". Great for marking stock for joints or checking stock for squareness. Both squares are notched where the beam and rule meet for drawing accurate layout lines. With two rules for inside and outside measurements. PLUS, we’ve added 1/16" etched markings on one side of the rule for precision marking — perfect for detail work in joinery!

The 4" square is very handy and, apparently, accurate. I keep it at hand in the pocket of my shop apron. The edges and corners are rather sharp and so caution is advised when retrieving it. The addition of engraved scales on the other side of the ruler would be most welcome. Good product that could be excellent with slightly dulled corners and extra etching.

I appreciate the construction of the square but am quite disappointed that only one side of the rule is marked. The other side is blank which makes it quite useless when trying to make measurement marks against a blocking piece.

I purchased the 6" engineers square and found it to be off. Not by much but enough to make a difference. I returned the 6" and purchased a Starrett 12" combination square. When I got home I checked it against the fence on my jointer, which I had set with one of the combination squares I already had. It showed my fence to be square to the table. I thank Rockler for making it right. Erik at the Minnetonka store took care of me and I appreciate it.

I've used the 6" square on numerous projects for squaring them up and it works great. I've also used it for squaring up my table and miter saws and really give a true alienment. Great tool to have in the shop.
