Real wood veneers laminated to a special 10 mil thick paper backing made pliable to ensure dimensional stability. Flexible veneer easily cuts with a scissors, takes stains, finishes, and may be applied with contact adhesives. This 1/64'' thick veneer works beautifully when applied over curved surfaces. The 36'' X 96'' size is ideal for veneering indoor metal security doors. Grain runs lengthwise.

This is not my first experience using veener from Rockler, only first is on-line. I have always been very satisfied with anything I have purchased in the store or this on-line. May I add sincerely that I have always found those in the Cambridge,MA store to be very helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous.

The 36 x 96 white oak plain sliced has a very nice plain slice pattern and was easy to apply with contact adhesive. My sheet came with a 3 1/2" split at one end but I was able to cut around it.

This was my first time working with veneer, and it was better than I could have hoped for. The quality is superb, and the material is very forgiving -- even for a first-timer like me. I'm hooked on Rockler veneers.

I use this veneer to make my fingerboards and it is great. The only problem is the paper backing if that would be removed I'd be much more satisfied.
Editor's note: For veneer without a paper backing you may what to consider our offerings for Dimensional Veneer.

I ordered two sheets of the maple veneer to be applied with contact cement. One of the sheets had a lot of checking (small cracks) over a third of the sheet. However, I was able to able to cut around this area.

I liked the color and quality of the veneer. It did bend well to the shapes I need to bend. However, I found a problem with the veneer de-laminating from the paper backing as I was trying to work with it, which almost wrecked the how project. I also did not like the paper small paper edge that showed afterwards. I would not purchase this item again because of the de-lamination from the paper.

Quarter sawn oak veneer has a beautiful grain pattern and is easy to apply. It cuts w/o tearing and takes a great finish.
"I have made several online orders from Rockler, and the customer service has been great. While I have not had an unreasonable number of complications, I have had a few. Each time the folks at Rockler were very quick to respond, easy to work with and resolved the issue in the best way imaginable. Many thanks! I will be a customer for many years to come." -
