1) Submitted by Kenneth Kordik, from Aptos, CA on 2/19/2011 Customer Rating: I mounted the swiveling base to a 1 X 6 hardwood scrap. I use a pair of clamps to fasten it to a table. It is very easy to use and change position. I highly recommend this to anyone making large wood carvings. It is well priced for a carving vise. Base with carving in progress
