1) Submitted by Kevin Grunden, from Flemington, NJ on 4/3/2011 Customer Rating: I bought the 17" dia. mechanism to make a lazy susan for my patio table. I used a used glass top table 36" in diameter. I removed the legs and attached the swivel to the glass top. This worked perfectly. Well worth the money spent.

I found this hardware and was not sure if it was what I wanted, but the other reviews made it sound like this was the right thing. I bought a 36 inch table top from a hardware store, sanded and stained it and put this 17 inch lazy susan hardware on it. I could not be more happy. It really does hold a lot of weight and is very smooth. I can't wait for Thanksgiving.

We were concerned that any lazy susan would take up too much space and limit the number of shelves we could use. These were SO nice and thin! We managed to get five levels in the 33" opening and they spin so easily! When my husband saw them he was concerned that they were too cheap and flimsy, but was really impressed by how well they work and the weight they can hold. Inexpensive-yes. Cheaply made-no!

I put her base on a [slimline] lazy susan so she could easily turn the project to work on different sides. This product works ok, but is a bit expensive for what it is. Also, be aware your wood needs to be at lease 1/2" thick, no 7/16" plywood, because of the mounting hardware.
