I used the 4 inchers on a lazy susan for my wife, they are really made well.Other comments about the noise and roughness,if you put a few drops of light oil between the halves where the rollers are they are very quiet and turn smooth.

Relatively smooth action, though it can be a little rough and a touch noisy, though for the price, it's a steal. The only real problem are the instructions which are a mediocre pdf scan of a paper, and they are not very clear. Maybe if you've put together a lazy susan before, they are, but if this is your first, look for help elsewhere.

I bought two three inch Lazy Susan's. I used one to make a small painting turntable which is clamped to my workbench. Not very sophisticated, but it allows me to paint small products while sitting. The Table part of the setup has several brads driven through from the back side to allow turning a project over without marring, to any extent.
The second turntable is on standby and will be used to allow my wife to rotate light-sensitive plants, like some orchids.

Used a 12" lazy susan under the platform for my grandaughter's doll house. It is perfect. She can turn the house easily and it works very smoothly.

I have been looking for a small 3" lazy susan and found it at Rockler. I had to replace a damaged lazy susan of the same size and the one at Rockler was constructed better than the original one that I replaced.

I have made several Lazy Susans using the Rockler hardware, and plan to sell them (along with other handcrafted items) in Craft Fairs in the Texas Valley beginning in February 2010. Glued to my Lazy Susan boards are disks of cedar cut from trees on my property which are sanded and coated with multiple coats of polyurethane. The Rockler hardware works perfectly, and at the reasonable price, should allow me to make a decent profit from my very enjoyable hobby.
