Here's something to consider when selecting face frame hinges...
These hinges are not for use on Eurostyle Cabinets, they are for use on your face frame cabinets only. They do not attach directly to the cabinet side, instead they attach on the face frame.
Overlay
Applications
Use an overlay hinge if the door overlays the face frame completely, with a rabbet. It can be predetermined or variable. If it is variable, you'll be able to mount it anywhere on the widthe of the face frame and determine how much of the frame will be visible.
Inset Applications
Use an inset hinge if the door is completely flush with the face frame. |

Self-closing hinges are an ideal for cabinets. The built-in spring pulls the door closed and holds it in a closed position, eliminating the need for catches.
Soft-closing hinges have an adjustable action that, when your door is pushed closed, automatically takes over and brings your door to a whisper-soft close.
Free-swing hinges are most often used in furniture applications, rather than cabinet applications. |

A door
that is 43'' high and weighs 14 lbs. requires three hinges. If your door
is only 24'' high but weighs 14 lbs., go with three hinges for maximum
support and stability.

Excellent product and easy to install. I replaced four broken builder grade hinges with these and they are excellent. They look great not being painted ovr helps and were easy to install for a less than handy man. I had searched off and on for a month at big box home improvement stores and a couple specialty hardware stores, before going online and finding the right hinges in ten minutes. Orderng, shipment, and delivery all went smoothly.

Used these on my first attempt at a cabinet with raised panel doors. Tried a couple of others but these were superior. The adjustability was the key to making my "rookie" mistakes disappear. The clip on Blumotion soft close hinge adapters finished the cabinet off beautifully. I'll be retro-fitting the kitchen with these.

I had previously completed cabinet projects using Euro hinges which I purchased from big box stores. These stores sell only overlay type hinges and my current project required inset hinges for flush cabinet doors. Accordingly, I ordered the Blum clip top frame hinges for inset applictions and what a difference. They are easy to install, work great and the easy release feature is outstanding. I'll use only Blum hinges from now on.

These are the hinges that my cabinet subcontractor uses for all their flush overlay doors. Their quality is top notch, so I then use these for smaller jobs where I don't need to call in the big guys. Superb hinge. Super simple to adjust and get door spacing laser-straight.

I now use these hinges for every piece of furniture that I make--provided it has a door. The Rockler Concealed Hinge JIG-IT system makes exact placement of the hinge very simple, and it is so easy to adjust the doors for a fit that looks perfect. This particular project is an aquarium stand for my granddaughter, constructed of maple plywood and solids, with walnut inlays in the doors. Note that my granddaughter has yet to pick out the knobs for the drawers and doors.
My granddaughter's comment on seeing the unit: "Good one, Grandpa!" Kind of makes it worthwhile!

After working for months designing and building a large kitchen island for a client, I wanted the hardware to be top notch as well. After searching a bit a the big box stores, I gave up and went with these hinges from Rockler. These hinges with the additional Blumotion Soft close mechanism gave the island a final high quality look and feel. I'm glad I went with these hinges, and so is the client! I will use them again in the future.

It is very hard to find decent hardware at the big warehouse type stores. Theses hinges are great in that they allow to correct for minor flaws in construction.

I have used this hinge style on at least 5 cabinet door installations; the most recent being a 5-sided, 3-raised panel door console in cherry. While the installation is relatively straight forward, I would recommend buying the hinge cup template to make drilling the hinge cup hole easy and accurate. I usually mount the hinge cup piece first and then use a small strip of wood to register the cabinet doors in position and then screw in the face frame portion of the hinge. The 3-way adjustment can then be used to fine tune door location.

Great hinge, easily installs, easily adjusts. Did not get the jig it since we have a drill press all we needed was the hinge cup jig. Also hinge works great with the Blum dampers.

The hinges worked great. The 3 way adjustability allowed me to line the doors up perfectly, and the 120 degree swing allows easy access to the cabinet. The client liked them so much that after I completed the new cabinet, she asked me to replace all of the old hinges in her kitchen with Blum face frame hinges.
