For a piece of hardware that was very expensive it was badly constructed in that the cross bars were not straight. Also it was advertised as having 6 1/2 "
lift that when installed was actually 7 3/4". This resulted in the finish table height being 1 1/4" higher than planned and resulted in my having to remodel my project. That having been said, it does function adequately.

This the 3rd one that I have bought over 3 years and it is a lot better than the previous 2. It is much more sturdy and it opens and closes very smoothly. I still think that it is too pricey for what you get, but I can't find anything like it anywhere else.

Mechanism works well but the instructions were poor. It was my good fortune that I also purchased a set of plans for a coffee table to use this mechanism. The detail in the plans was what I used rather than the instructions that came with the mechanism.
