Think "Outside the Box." These slides are only 3/8" thick for small projects
like jewelry boxes and CD storage cases. Requires a mortised installation
in the drawer side.

These slide are very cool. They are quite different from any slides I have used previously. However, there are a few things you need to know. They do not come apart as most slides do, so you can't mount to the side, then the drawer, and assemble. To counter this, they do slide from the front AND the back allowing you to mount the drawer part toward the back, thus providing additional travel. Read the instruction sheet. Here are a couple hints. cut the dados in the side an extra 1/64 to 1/32 deeper then the 1/4 inch recommended. To complete the assembly, you need to insert a threaded screw from the INSIDE of the drawer to the slide. I became fustrated doing this, so I cheated by using a very low profile head screwed from the outside. This worked well. Doing this will allow drawer slided 3/4 inch rather than 5/8.

I used these in an entertainment center as DVD shelf slides. The shelves were stacked tightly in their own pullout drawer. These slides allow the shelves to be slid back & forth for easy viewing of the titles on that shelf.

These slides were ideal for the drawers in this self-designed armoire for my granddaughter Emily. Both she and Samantha [the doll] were thrilled to get it for Christmas.

The large set of these slides works as a good replacement for an Ikea dresser. The original slides supplied by Ikea are incredibly crappy and blow apart after about six months of use.
Editor's note: We do not recommend these slides for dressers due their short length. They are only recommended for very small drawers. 30804 is 7-3/16" long with 4-7/8" extension. 30811 is 9-11/16" long with 6-11/16" extension. Load rating is 22 lbs. per pair

Whereas the slide itself works well compared to the length of the slide the range of movements considerably less that drawer depth. Disappointing. However the slide installs well in accordance with the instructions.

I have been looking for a short set of drawer slides for a pull out wood tray to hold router bits under a 8 inch deep wall cabinet I built to hold my router accessories. Could not find it anywhere else but fortunately Rockler had it in the catalog. Great!

Dado helps conserve tight space in small project. Installed easily, work well. Happy with result. Used 1/2 in. (instead of recommended 5/8) material worked just fine. Had to install slides before assembly.
