You won't find a better way to store your CDs with such flexibility and easy installation. Simply cut the 6 foot strip to the length you need. One 6 foot strip makes a 3 foot unit which holds 47 single CDs. Two strips make a 6 foot library for 95 CDs. Includes double stick tape for easy mounting. Minimum cabinet depth 3-3/4''. Two adjacent strips required to hold one row of CDs.

NOTE: "The 'double-sided tape' included with this item is actually an "A-T-T", or "Adhesive Transfer Tape". The tape is a thin bead of adhesive sandwiched between a carrier strip and a cover strip. To use, peel the cover strip off of one side, then press the adhesive bead onto the CD strip and burnish it so that the adhesive bonds to the CD strip. Then peel away the remaining carrier strip, leaving only the bead of adhesive on the CD strip (the adhesive has now been "transferred"). Then just stick the CD-strip-with-adhesive to the side of the cabinet. Make sure your cabinet finish is completely cured

I concur with all others that have critiqued this offering. The self-stick strips are inferior. I used 3M Yellow along the sides and every 10 CD spaces. I used the on-line pattern but added an 1/8" width to every vertical column to allow for variance of the wood material. I also added 5 1/2" at the bottom of the shelf unit to accmodate compilation CD's.

The plastic strips are easy to work with and cut. I had to call customer service to figure out the glue strips and they were helpful. The glue strips themselves did not hold for me and I had to find other adhesives to work.

As for the product the tape was useless and used glue to hold the strip in place. The rest of the product is great and also a big hit for many people to have in their homes due to it blends in well with their interior designs. Rockler service was better online than the actual store.

The tape included was difficult to use. I needed to get wider carpet tape. But still got some curling of plastic. Next holder will be with cut dados, (uses less waisted space, than inserts).

The strips are convenient, albeit somewhat expensive for a cheap piece of plastic but other alternatives were not easily found. I guess one could router the grooves given the time and energy. The tape does [\\\\]- I used 3M tape which increased the cost of this product significantly. I redesigned the rack to three shelves about 36" wide and it sits on a desktop.

I would rate this as an excellent product but the tape that comes with it is awful. A better quality 2 sided tape did not work either. I finally used Liquid Nails small project adhesive and that seems to be ok. The price was way too high for a roll of plastic, but there are really no other alternatives out their. In the end, building the CD rack (thanks Rockler for the free plans) was a fun project with my 10 year old son, and he is thrilled with the results.

I just finished a 4 ft. version of this CD holder. It was very easy to cut the holders to the length I needed. The supplied tape was very effective, but was a little difficult to work with. Thanks for such a great product.

"I have made several online orders from Rockler, and the customer service has been great. While I have not had an unreasonable number of complications, I have had a few. Each time the folks at Rockler were very quick to respond, easy to work with and resolved the issue in the best way imaginable. Many thanks! I will be a customer for many years to come."
