While using the saw I was getting a significant amount of edge burn and thought it normal. I spoke to a friend about it and he suggested that my blade was most likely not parallel to the fence / miter gauge slot. I bought this Superbar and checked. He was most certainly correct. The blade was almost thirty thousandths out of parallel. I made some adjustments to the trunnion and got it to nearly perfect (one thousandth out). The burn is gone. I also used it to check the arbor run-out and rip fence. They were both on the money, but I was glad to validate the facts. I really don't know how you'd be able to check these settings with this much accuracy without a Superbar!
