I nearly killed myself with a kickedback board, was not using the saw safety stuff. I bought these and they work just fine for my purposes. It may not be perfect but I use them, they are quick and convenient. A safety item not used is no good, these are good because I use them. Kickback on a table saw is for real. Don't run without some kind of holddown!

A Must Have for the Wood Shop. Here is a featherboard that's effective, economical and a pleasure to use. Before buying one, I only had read reviews and comments. Now I have two of them. The clever design really allows one tool to serve as two conventional featherboards--one to hold the workpiece down; the other to keep it snug to the fence. They are indispensible when using the table saw or the bandsaw. A great investment in time-saving and in safety.

An extreamly fast and rapidly adjustable support to hold the material down and against the fence. It can handle up to boards up to a weight of about 10 pounds. As this makes up the majority of my work I rarely got out my miter track featherboards any more.

I've bought two of these a while back but don't use them too much. They can be very handy depending on you're application. I find that the internal magnet is not as strong as I expected. If I butt the Grip-Tite tight against the material I'm ripping, the material tends to slide the Grip-Tite over as I'm cutting. I usually grab the Rockler Featherboards instead to keep the material pushed tight against the fence. I tried using the Grip-Tite on a Jointer too but had the same problem, magnet won't hold securely in place.

These seemed like such a great idea and so flexible I bought a pair of them. They do work as advertised but they have issues. I found that when I really needed some serious pressure, usally on large boards, the magnetic is not strong enough to hold and the board the moves the featherboard. I finally ended up buying the miter slot Rockler featherboard and it outperforms these in holding power. My recommendation is to save money and go with a miter slot featherboard you can lock down and you know it's not moving.
