I gave these 3 stars, almost went with 2 and could have gone to 4 stars. Do I sound confused? Here’s why: Pros: Very nice price , Work great right out of the box, Small and easy to work with, the overall dimensions allow use in tight spaces . I keep mine hanging on the router table so I can give bits a quick hone prior to use. Cons! this is why I rated it a 3 and almost a 2. The diamond surface just does not last very long. I lubricated {water} prior to every use and always cleaned off residue. As an estimate {very crude one} I put a useful life of a dozen or so touch up of carbide bits before you can noticeably feel the diamond surface has degrade. Will I buy again? Maybe – they are inexpensive and convenient, just wish they held up better.

I use these to keep a decent edge on my lathe tools. They are easy to handle, and easy to keep flat on the bevel.

These diamond hones are within a hands reach of my work bench. I used then for sharpening my router bits and also for cleaning off the bit cutters after use, they wipe clean easy making them a pleasure to use. I place them flat on the cutter, slide forward with an even stroke, lift off and repeat. Lasting very well.

On the diamond hone set, so far so good. I use them to touch up my raised panel bit and some other bits and they work good!

I bought this set for touching up carbide router bits and they work great. It just takes a minute or so and puts the edge back like new. Don't push hard and let the diamond do the work. Good tool for the price.

I keep my plane blades, knife blades, router bits sharp with these files. The big money saver is on handy cutter blades. I used to go through these by the dozen. Now I sharpten the razor blade with these and they last forever and they are real sharp.

I bought these hones to use on my lathe cutting tools. They worked great and now I use them for other sharpening jobs as well. They're good for putting the edge back on carbide saw blades and my fosner bits as well. You can't go wrong for the price.
