I put one of these on my drum sander. It took some drilling and retrofitting, but it now accurately measures the sanding thickness. Nothing I used before compares to it. My drum sander stops as it overheats when I sand too much so this gadget saves me a lot of time. I had to make my own brackets and figure out the best way to attach it. The manufacturer might consider an expanded set of brackets along with some pictures showing how to attach the device to various popular tools.

I installed this product on my 20 inch Grizzly planer with very little dificulty. I did have to make a bracket out of a short piece of 3/4 inch angle iron, but the intallation is very neat and sturdy.
even though you can not set a planer to zero it is very easy to set the read out to zero at 1 inch and useing simple addition or subtraction calculate the thickness.
This digital readout is very accurate and allows me to return my planer to the exact same thickness of cut every time, all the time. a great time saver at a great price.

I had to make brackets to mount on my router table, but for the money it does get you close to a set up. I set the zero and made a print out of all the depth settings for different bits.

Very good at what it does. I did expect a little more in screws, etc to install and the instructions are a bit sparse but for the price it can't be beat. The ability to select units of measurement metric, inches in various levels up to 1/128 is excellent. Nothing like trying to figure out what 98/128 is close to in real world - this product allows one to customize accuracy to "real world" numbers

Instructions are terrible and battery life is short. It's a pain to reset the calibration when the batteries die. The alternative from another well know digital vendor is a better solution.

I would rate the product better but for the inability to set the depth to a defined number. I installed it on my wide belt sander, which will not go to zero, but to about one quarter inch many planers are this way too. On other digital read outs I could sand a board and set the DRO to what the board measures out, which is really easy to do. This unit has no means to do so, only a relative read out to a "memorized number" which you get to remember and deduct from the read out.
I called manufacturer's technical support and they confirmed this shortcoming. So, I have to get my sander to an inch, which is an easy number to remember, set the DRO to relative zero and then deduct and inch from the actual readout each time I use it. At the price is is a decent deal, but if I had know of this shortcoming I would not have purchased and installed it.

"I live in NJ, and wish there was a physical store near where I live. My experience with rockler.com is second to none. Not only are your products first rate, but customer service/product support is exceptional. I've called several times, and never received someone on the other end of the phone who was anything but extremely helpful, patient, and friendly. The biggest compliment I can give is that I TRUST Rockler for all my woodworking needs. The only other store I can say that about is LL Bean. My wood working friends in western NJ love Rockler. Keep on keepin' on - and get a store here in Jersey!!"
