I had always hoped for a knife sharpening system that took almost zero skill and almost no time. I used to spend about $60.00 every few months to have all my kitchen knives sharpened. Now I can do them all in about two minutes per knife. Looks can be deceiving. This tool looks like it would only be good for small knives but I sharpen 8 and 10 inch long chef's knives just as easily as I do steak knives.
I own a fortune in sharpening tools including some very large and expensive Arkansas stones and other fancy stuff. nothing is as quick and easy as this tool. It is also $30.00 cheaper at Rockler than at some very large sporting goods stores.

I recently won one of these at their Santa's Woodshop Giveaway. Thank You Rockler!! Now that I've had a chance to try it out on a few knives all I can say is WOW! This thing works great. I have always struggled with knife sharpening now I think they will be very sharp all the time. It is fast and easy to use. I am glad to have it.

Does everything it was supposed to do. Sharpened several of my own knives and friends. Very satisfied. Have not tried it on other things yet. But looks like it will do fine.

Easy set up. Easy to use. Knives are razor sharp in seconds. Sharpened son-in-laws rusty axe in a matter of minutes.

I have to admit I was a little skeptical. I've owned other sharpeners that were much more expensive and was less than satisfied. But with the ease of use and the consistent results I am totally sold and would highly recommend this sharpener to anyone.

The easiest system that I have every used to sharpen my knives and scissors. My son saw me using the tool and he brought me all of his camping knives to sharpen! I plan to sharpen my ax and hatchets this weekend. I've had no problem with the belts breaking or losing their grit. I wish that Rockler would sell the belts. I don't like that I have to go to the manufacture's site to purchase them.

It took 5 min. to set up and I went to work. My wife's sissors now cut like new. I can now shave with my butcher knives. Great tool.

First saw in American Woodworker, had to have this since it is American made by Darex, the Drill Doctor people. Does the best, fastest, and easiest job I've ever done, and I'm 57. If the pres of the company can shave with a hunting knife sharpened with this machine, it WILL sharpen ANY edge to the best of its quality.

Have been wanting a knife sharpener for some time. Always have dull knives around. This machine will do exactly what they say it does and more. Will use for all sharpening jobs from the kitchen to the shop. The belts do a better job than grinding wheels. Thanks Rockler for carrying a piece of equipment such as this.

Very nice and easy to use. Once I received it I sharpened every knife I had. I recommend that you use both sanding belts for the best edge on your knifes. Keep in the kitchen to use when you need it.

This was extremely easy to use and the instructions were a snap to follow. The machine was in use immediately, and did a very professional job. I have a single concern, though. The belts used do not seem to be of reasonable strength for the usage they will see. This may be my fighting dragonswhich we know don't exist and won't be a problem. All in all,a good investment!!

I just received my work sharp knife sharpener today. It works just the way it is advertised. I was a meat cutter for 25 years and we used a belt sharpener to sharpen out knifes. The only problem is that the hobart sharpener that we used cost about $450.00 dollars. I could not afford to spend that much to sharpen the knifes around our house. The work sharp sharpens the knife just as fast as the more expensive unit and is very easy to use. Even someone who has never sharpened a knife can put an edge on the knife just like a pro.

Although I have only done the kitchen knives so far the product seems to work well. I am very disappointed on the short life of the belts. The machine is a winner, the belts need a lot of improvement.
