This router is simply the best I've ever used. Bosch did the important stuff right! the plunging action is the smoothest I've ever used and when the router is locked it is rock solid. On top of the basics, there are a few nice extras like the LED light, the trigger switch and the ability to do a fine height adjustment after locking the plunge mechanism. This router is every bit the equal of the Festool products I've used and at less than half the price.

I just got this plunge router along with the fixed base attachment which I've yet to use. The plunge mechanism works great, I like the light allot and the trigger grip on/off switch. Depth stop is good too. I also like that changing bits is done with two wrenches. The push button one wrench scheme of the Ridgid fixed/bonus plunge base is what kept me from purchasing that affordable router.This Bosch is replacing a inexpensive 28 year old Craftsmen fixed base which also had a trigger switch grip, so it's what I'm used to and what pushed me to spend the extra money on the Bosch. So far the only bad thing I can say is that it's on the heavy side.
