3-Way Face Clamp

These exceptionally adjustable clamps are especially well-suited for clamping face frames to the cabinet carcass, and for edging shelves. Since they clamp to the front edge of the panels, the sky is the limit when it comes to cabinet depth, and they'll work even when the cabinet back is already attached. With quick-release acme threads, it's easy to adjust the clamp to wrap around wide stiles, whether the panel is flush with the edge of the frame or not. Non-marring pads ensure you won't dent the frames in the process. Light weight and compact, they're easy to move around and store. Clamp opens enough to clear a 5" wide frame (panel centered) or 3" wide frame (panel flush with edge). Patent Pending.

The first time I used this clamp, the little yellow plastic quick release tab broke, rendering the entire clamp useless. I'm now afraid to even try the 2nd one. What a waste of money.

Yes a pad or three might fall off - one of mine did during shipping/unpacking - I just stuck it back and so far it stayed! but next time a dab of rubber glue should be a permanent fix. I gave five stars without actually using because it seems excellent except for the pad thing. Hanging it proved a dilemma: Thread too big for all but the pipe clamp rack 33547, which if hung by either end knob just falls right through! but I finally found that if balanced on either end pad/swivel with both screwed all the way together - or just about together - it hangs vertically fairly well. Plus the 33547 has 9 slots and I bought 8 of these clamps, so all's well that way too. ...Maybe I do need one more...

These clamps serve their purpose. Unfortunately, the pads tend to fall off and are easily lost. For the price, they should throw in a couple extra pads or adhere them slightly.

This clamp would be perfect if not for the quick-release. The clamp seems robust and very sturdy, the pads grip very well even on slippery melamine. The only downfall is the wimpy plastic threads on the quick-release mechanism. All the clamping pressure is transmitted directly to the tiny little plastic threads and they break very easily, rendering the clamp completely useless. I now have over $100 worth of fancy paperweights.
